I want Princess Mérida to be an offical Disney princess if her movie is great and if Pixar wants to sell Mérida as a Disney Princess, it'll give Scottish girls a princess to look up to and Rapunzel won't stand out as much.

BUT, yet.

Mérida belongs to Disney Pixar studios not Walt Disney Studios so she can't be an Offical Disney Princess.

Please help.

Well, don't they usually plan this stuff beforehand? But I guess they could add her last second. But seeing as that she's not under Walt Disney Studios, probably not.

I went on to old wiki and it states the following:
"According to Variety magazine, Princess Mérida is expected to join the Disney Princess franchise."

So yes, she actually might be... I'm all for the idea, she sounds like a really good character. Of course I said that about Tiana and became slightly disapointed after watching the film, so I may be eating my words again.

And I'd like to add that Wiki isn't the most reliable for 100% accurate sources, so there is a high chance Merida won't become an official Disney Princess.

Because Disney owns Pixar, it would be perfectly logical for her to be on the lineup. John Lasseter has expressed that they are seriously considering her. I personally like the idea- a princess that doesn't want to be a princess and breaks away from her royal status to be an archer.

Plus we'll have a realistic redhead princess, and a scottish princess ^-^

@Firegirl-We already have a redhead Princess. Ariel can never be replaced. If another were to join her I would want Giselle.

I can't say. I don't know if they'll actually put her in. It'd be cool though. I'd like to see another redhead in the lineup.

Actually, according to her spot on the Disney Wikia, she IS gonna be added to the lineup once the movie's out. She IS technically a Disney movie, since Disney Pixar isn't a free-running company; Pixar collaborates WITH Disney. Ergo, she is a Disney princess, whether or not Pixar is involved, since the Disney company took part in her movie.

I mean the princess from the Black Couldrn is not on the princess list. Plus she is from Pixar. I would think it would be lovley if she would be.
