Disney Princess If all the characters in Cinderella had their genders reversed, what would آپ think of the protagonist?

This question is basically just to see if females get rewarded for being idle and passive characters. I'm curious if people would see the oppressed young person who just quietly accepts their enslavement and makes no effort to change their life until fate lends a hand in a positive light regardless of gender. Or is it only okay because women are allowed to be both strong and brave or weak and frail whereas men always have to be active and heroic? If you think it is frustrating that Cinderella doesn't stand up for herself and take action, then it's okay to think that of the male version. But if you find it frustrating for the male one not to take action but find it lovable in Cindy, then I think you should start treating people a little more equally because it's not fair to men or women.

Although I would be very frustrated with the princess, who sits around in her palace, instead of trying to find out who the mystrious man was. (Really, Charming is my least favourite Prince, he frustrates me to no end!)

Cinderella does stand up for herself, just because she doesn't do it with a sword or with grand gestures, that doesn't mean she is a doormat, not at all. Just ask Lucifer.

I am impressed with your answer! I love Cinderella too! The problem is, unlike you, a lot of people are fans of the more soft and sweet princesses but would not like a male character who is more leaning towards that side. It bothers me when people think women can be a Mulan or a Cinderella but a man always has to be a Mulan...if that makes sense?

Does make sense - but I'm a little bit weird in that way, I have a thing for heroes which are not really interested in violence. At the moment, my favourite TV shows are White Collar (because of Neal Caffrey). Merlin (because of Merlin) and Sherlock (because of both main characters - although I'm slightly partial of unassuming John, who can turn around and kick ass - I just wish, he would do it more often. He gets kidnapped in every single episode!). I always liked brainy more than brawl.
