hottoddy The dog in question is a Neopolitan Mastiff, or Mastino Napoletano, and no, it's not photoshopped. They can reach at least 222 pounds (as per "Wild Child," on livevideo.com), and there was a record-holding Old English Mastiff, Zorba, who weighed in at 343 pounds,was 37 inches high at the shoulder, 8 feet, 3 inches long from nose to tail, and ate 17 pounds of meat daily. (Fortunately, his owner was a British restauranteur.) I had a pet boxer that weighed 100 pounds (in the 1950s), so there is great variability in the size of the big dogs. Too bad that photo can't be identified...
