I love Huskies the most but I'm not sure if it's going to be the best idea for the first dog.

Goldens are easy to train and really friendly

Noo dont get a husky for a first dog. I dont recommend it, even though i love them. Id say the beagle or golden labrador or retriever.

I'm with Mongoose. Huskies, Akitas, & Shepherds are probably not the best choices for a first dog. I've had Beagles and they'd likely be a good pick. Second choice would be the Labrador, then the Golden.

Beagles are good with children, loyal to their owners and very friendly to people. They are a good choice for first-time owners but is hard to train. If you want a dog that is friendly, smart and loyal, then pick the Labrador Retriver.

Yeah, that's the only thing about the Beagle--very vocal with their baying, and have that hound dog stubbornness and single-mindedness, so more difficult to train than a Retriever.
