Chapter 18
Eventually...
Esme POV
“…I will destroy him…” Rosalie sobbed.
Tears had been threatening to fall for awhile but this statement from Rosalie made them really fall.
We both sat there crying for about 10 minutes. “Rosalie…”
She looked at me with bloodshot eyes.
“You…Emmett…I” There were so many things I wanted to say but nothing came out like I wanted.
After many failed attempts I got up and rubbed Rosalie shoulder. “We need to get back.” I stated.
Rosalie just sat there and looked back at the waves. She sighed.
“Rose?” I asked after she did not get up. “You are not coming, are you?”
She shook her head. “I will come back, Esme. Just not right now. Tell them I’m sorry…especially Emmett.” She mumbled the last part so quiet I don’t think I was supposed to hear.
“Please Rosalie, come ہوم soon.” I کہا knowing that there was no reason to fight with her stubbornness. I kissed her head and ran ہوم to my family.
Rosalie POV
I would go home…maybe not today…or tomorrow…but I would eventually.
I didn’t want to face anyone yet, especially Emmett. I bet he thought I was some pathetic little baby who couldn’t fight for herself and had no control over her emotions….or something along those lines.
I needed to explain to them why I was acting this way, I already did to Esme but she is too kind to tell anyone what I said.
Emmett’s POV
Esme took off into the woods and I could only wish that was me.
Why did she have to hate me?
“Emmett, let’s get inside.” Carlisle announced.
“Hmm?” I asked turning around. “Oh, uhhh...alright.”
I walked into the house unsure of what to do. I felt really uncomfortable in such a huge place and not knowing anyone.
Carlisle turned around to look at me. “Emmett are آپ alright? Don آپ need anything?”
“Yeah…I guess.” Lie
“He is worried about Rosalie.” Edward blurted out.
I shot him an angry glare. I had known him for less than 24 hours and he was already starting to annoy me.
Carlisle looked back to me. “Is this true?”
I nodded my head in shame.
He came over to me and put a hand on my shoulder. “Don’t be embarrassed. It’s hard not to care about Rose, trust me. She is smart though and definitely knows what she is doing…most of the time.” He told me, chuckling at the last part.
I smiled at his kindness and nodded my head.
All of the sudden my throat started burning. I cupped my hand around my neck in pain.
Carlisle laughed. “Does your throat burn?”
“Yes.” I croaked.
“Your thirsty, آپ need to hunt.” I nodded.
“Edward, I am taking Emmett to go hunting.” He turned back to me. “Let’s go.” He led me out to the woods.
“Okay, Emmett. I want آپ to go through the woods and let your instants take control. When آپ smell something آپ like tell me…and trust me you’ll know.” He motioned me to go ahead so I took off through the trees letting me feet led me.
After around 5 منٹ and 2 miles later I پگھلانا, سودھنا something delicious. It made my mouth water just thinking about it. “Carlisle!” I growled.
“Go on…”
I got to the animal in a flash, perishing its neck, making it die instantly. I sucked all of the blood of its body. It felt so good going down my subsiding throat. After I was satisfied I stood up to see Carlisle looking at me with amusement.
“Good?” He asked.
I nodded wiping the dripping blood from my chin.
Carlisle and I both heard a rustle in the bushes like someone was coming through; I couldn’t help but wish it was Rosalie.
I started to walk to the sound but Carlisle told me to stop. “It’s Esme.” He announced.
He was right, Esme became visible through the trees a moment later and I soon checked behind her hoping to see Rosalie appear.
Esme must have caught on because she quickly advised me. “Rosalie is not with me.”
“Then where is she?” I سوال back, with a hint of anger in my voice.
Carlisle walked up to Esme and put his arm around her and a pang of jealously shot through me.
“She is safe, that’s all I can tell you.” She کہا hugging Carlisle tighter and I looked away.
“What do آپ mean آپ can’t tell me?” I yelled…
