: Both Zuul and Vinz Clortho are capable of possession two chosen mortal humans, controlling their bodies and minds. Once they come together, the gateway of Gozer will be opened, allowing the demigod to appear on Earth.

History: A minion of Gozer, Zuul and Vinz Clortho ere awoken and released from inside one of the gargoyle-like statues atop the roof of 55 Central Park West. The horned, canine-like demons possessed Dana Barrett and her neighbor Louis Tully. Now calling themselves the gatekeeper and the key master, the pair remained separated as the Ghostbusters got involved. While Dr. Venkman catered to the possessed Dana, the others ran numerous tests on Louis, realizing that he was under the possession of a sinister force.

When the EPA shutdown power to their containment unit, dozens of angry spirits were unleashed upon the city. Through the chaos, Zuul and Vinz finally reached one another. In their union, the demons opened Gozer’s gateway! As bolts of lightning fell from the skies, the two humans transformed into the wicked beasts. The four Ghostbusters once again stood in the way of the demigod, sealing the gateway by crossing all four of their streams. The resulting blast closed Gozer’s entrance to the Earth, turning the two minions into statues. Breaking through the stone, the team discovered Dana and Louis alive and well, but completely unknowing of what had happened to them.
