The reason I pick duke and scarlett because snake eyes is mineeeee lol >.<

they are perfect for each other sorry snake

Like every typical D/S fan... they never state the reasons for this so-called "perfect for each other"... becuase there is none. Sorry but Scarlett and Duke have nothing in common, they can barely relate to each other, there personalities don't match, and they have no chemistry. These are the most important things on making a couple work and being believable.

It was Scarlett who was first attracted to Snake Eyes when G.I. Joe was being formed. Her first assignment was to train the new team in hand-to-hand combat. During the exercises, she met Snake Eyes. While she beat most of the team members, she recognized that Snake Eyes was a superior fighter despite the fact that he had allowed her to beat him, allowing her to keep her dignity and respect with the others. Scarlett was intrigued by his actions and wanted to know more about him, and as a result, they became very close. They got to know each other and talked about everything. Scarlett was the first person Snake Eyes ever opened up too.

We've seen many times in the comics that there able to relate to each other a lot more. For all her smarts, abilities and beauty, she would need someone that could keep up with her (Snake Eyes). They've been together since issue #1 in 1982 and there still together (32 years).

Duke didn't even show up until 1984 because Hasbro wanted to make money from a new action figure and a bunch of 80's cartoon writers got lazy. That pretty much sums it all up... this whole thing with Duke was based on nothing but pure laziness with no thought whatsoever put into it and because they couldn't get past Snake Eyes not being able to talk.

Duke is nothing more than a bland boring generic character, to this day there's nothing interesting about him at all, there's nothing that Scarlett would be intrigued about. He was a corporate-made character due to Hasbro's issues with Hawk's code name being too political at the time. Larry Hama was forced to put him in the comics and he hardly ever used him at first.

Flint and Lady Jaye ended up becoming the main couple in the cartoon such as the 'Eau De Cobra' episode where they attended a social function. Notice how Scarlett was fazed out of the show altogether by Season 2 in favor of Flint/Lady Jaye. Hama and Marvel wouldn't budge on Snake Eyes/Scarlett, and Sunbow had no backstory for her and Duke, so he dropped her for Lady Jaye.

Larry Hama stated in a letter to ComiCon that "Scarlett's heart belongs to Snake Eyes". Unlike so many other comic book couples they have never flirted with others, they've never cheated on each other, they've never wondered about being with other people and they’ve never broken up. There love is as solid as it gets, you can't get anymore "perfect for each other" than with Snake Eyes/Scarlett.
