karlchen Edmund is NOT Slytherin! and Susan is one of "those of wit and learning"?? Susan, who was "no good at school work"(VDT)??? Come on!
Lucy the Valiant, you might belong in Griffindor,
Where dwell the brave at heart,
Their daring, nerve and chivalry
Set Griffendors apart.
Peter the Magnificent in wise, old Ravenclaw,
if you've a ready mind.
where those of wit and learning
will always find there kind.
Edmund the Just, you might belong in Hufflepuff,
where they are just and loyal,
Those Patient Hufflepuffs are true
and unafraid of toil.
Susan the Gentle, perhaps in Slytherin
you'll make your real friends
those cunning folks use any means
to achive their ends.
I admitt, Susan doesnt fit in any of the houses, really. not being a friend of narnia in the end, not believing in magic, she shouldnt fit in any house.
But Anna Popplewell would definitly be Ravenclaw.
karlchen i like the pictures, tho.
xrayana ^ You're probably one of the few people who oppses this. The Narnia community on Tumblr actually sorted them this way and all fans agreed that they fit perfectly as this.
Because the Pevensie children, as they are portrayed by William, Anna, Skandar and Georgie are not exactly the ones from the books. These actors have given the characters a part of their own personalities, which means Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy are exactly in this houses respectively: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Slytherin, Hufflepuff.
Peter - A brave, corageous, reckless man. As he is portrayed by William. Peter would NEVER be a Ravenclaw, because Ravenclaws are wise and calm, which Peter was defintely NOT. Even the books describe Peter as being "less wise and quite brash". Definitely a GRYFFINDOR.
Susan- As she is portrayed by Anna Popplewell, Susan is logical, calm and the voice of the reason. Many quotes sustain that: "Logically, it's impossible". " He's a beaver. He shouldn't be saying ANYTHING." Peter tells her: " No, you're trying to be SMART, AS USUAL." Definitely a RAVENCLAW.
Edmund - Brooding, ambitious, has a cold thinking (which even THE BOOKS sustain, because they said Edmund was "THE JUSTICE"). He wanted the power to himself at first, but he repents and becomes a good man. He admits he has been a traitor and regrets it. Slytherins could be good men who have done wrong things. Look at Snape and Regulus Black. They were exactly like Edmund. They've done wrong things, they were dark at first, but changed themselves and saved an entire world. He's definitely a SLYTHERIN.
Lucy - I admit Lucy can be both Gryffindor and Hufflepuff. Lucy is brave, but Lucy is also the warmest one and the most friendly and loyal. Hufflepuffs were described as "friendly and loyal". She's also joyous and bright and filled with life. So she fits in Hufflepuff just as well as she fits in Gryffindor. But she has been sorted in Hufflepuff so that the four children could represent all the four houses.
All these have been well thought and analyzed on the people on the site. So you've just come with your theory and, I have to say, it's quite quickly said and not well-thought at all. You're right in one thing, though: That Lucy also belongs in Gryffindor. But she belongs in Hufflepuff just as well.
Peter would NEVER be a Ravenclaw. He was said not to be wise, not even by the books.
Susan would NEVER be a Slytherin. Slytherins were ruthless and ambitious, which the book Susan was definitely NOT.
Edmund would NEVER be a Hufflepuff, and that's the worst you could've said. Hufflepuffs were friendly. Edmund was NOT that friendly, not even in the books. He was quiet and introverted. Hufflepuffs were joyous and sociable and were sensible. Edmund was described even in the books to be wisest, the cold-minded one, the one who did all the JUSTICE. He was ambitious like a Slytherin. He was brooding like a Slytherin.
Aanan2013 I agree..........
Lasaraleen I do agree.
I can understand people hate it if others say Edmund is a Slytherin, but Edmund is just a Slytherin. Guys, Slytherin is not a bad house. Edmund is ambitious, Edmund is shrewd (in the right way, but he is) and Edmund is a great leader. He's just too, I agree, but he's so, so much more Slytherin. A good Slytherin, but he is one.
And about Lucy, yes, she's Valiant. But she's a great founder (she's found Narnia, says enough, I think) and she's loyal, and maybe even a greater friend than Helga Hufflepuf. She's definitely a Hufflepuf.
Susan is absolutely a Ravenclaw, guys, she's logic and smart, says enough, not? She can't learn very good, but she's smart.
And Peter, everyone agrees he's a Gryffindor.
But I don't like it you stole the picture of Lily-so-sweet on deviantart, exept if you are Lily-so-sweet ofcourse....
