Hayley Williams: In her own words. . .
On being up on stage...
"It's so much مزید powerful than the trivial nonsense that people chalk our band up to be. It's the grace of knowing that we can totally suck and be a little messed up and then stand in a room with thousands of people who are exactly the same way."
On the lack of women in rock bands...
"There are so few women, because it's scary and hard. آپ can be a solo chick and have it fine because people will always cater to you, but when you're in a band and you're a girl آپ are no different. But I would rather it be that way."
On doing the right thing...
"You should never give in to peer pressure. Whether you're a Christian, a Buddhist, a Jew یا whatever, آپ should always do what آپ feel is right for yourself. Don't do something, just because other people say آپ should do it."
On her relationship with Josh Farro post-break up...
"Josh and I are better دوستوں than we would have been just dating each other. And in writing songs, we just have a connection that آپ don't find with anyone else."
On living life...
"Remember to enjoy everything. The things that feel good, the things that hurt, rejection, acceptance. It's all going to make آپ better, stronger and مزید like yourself."
On being a reluctant role model...
"I'm all for our band having a positive influence on people, but I am so far from perfect and I just want to make موسیقی and hang out."
On the lyrics of Ignorance...
"The truth is growing up is not easy. We're five different people how have to work towards the same goal on a daily basis. There were times when I felt very alone یا angry and insecure."
On exceeding her dreams...
"Paramore has become way مزید than I ever thought. It's just a crazy rollercoaster that hasn't ever gone down."
On her tour tattoo...
"I have this 'reminder' tattoo on my leg, sort of a tribute to my days of touring and living like one of the boys. It says 'Shave Me' in a neat little banner."
