As we look at Aikido we find, it is a kind of martial arts which is often looked at as modern Japanese budo. The martial art's emphasis is based on the spiritual and philosophical development of one's true self. We also find that, The meaning of the word "Aikido" means "The Way of Harmony with the Spirit." یا also refered to as, the "Gentle Art of Mayhem" It is the study of the natural laws and how they harmonize with one's body and mind. In reference to the body and mind becoming as one.

In Aikido, آپ will be taught to use both armed and unarmed forms of combat and self defense. in learning the unarmed attacks, آپ will be taught a variety of throws, strikes, and joint-lock techniques of all the vital points on the body. Even those mystery attacks where آپ attack your enemey without laying a hand on them. However, armed attacks do involve the use of several different kind of weapons. They are as follows; From swords to knives, from sticks to spears, practically everything imaginable can be utilized in Aikido as a weapon.

AS we look into this art a little deeper, we find that in general most Aikido classes are conducted with indepth training in using the jo یا staff, tanto یا knife, and in the sword arts training they used a bokken یا a sword. These three serve as the سب, سب سے اوپر main weapons used in the art of Aikido. However, even though the art of Aikido appears to be using مزید of the unarmed forms of these techniques of the martial arts. There are several reasons why these weapons are studied in Aikido classes and the training sessions. Aikido has a very strong use of weapons in it's martial arts foundation. Any training with these weapons will only reinforce the Aikido's basic roll of it's martial art techniques.

As we look further into Aikido, we find the founder Morihei Ueshiba, Also known to his students and Aikido practitioners as Sensei, which means "Great Teacher", was highly skilled with the staff. He was able to combine the weapon techniques with the movements of basic Aikido. However, even with the vast amount of weapons to choose from, the sword arts has the greatest influence on the development of the Aikido techniques.

As their weapons training progresses, an Aikido student will be able to measure the distance between attacks. This is called ma-ai, the proper distancing is very important in timing an attacks and defending against one. Speaking of defense, weapons training is also reqiured since the advanced Aikido techniques mostly involve defending against attackers bearing a wide variety of weapons.

So, in order to practice each advanced اقدام safely, The Aikido student needs to be familiar with each of these kinds weapons'and their capabilities. Taking this into account, with Aikido weapons training, one should be able to develop his skills, intuitiveness, and reflexes in both the art of attacking and defending movements.

However, among the weapons used in the Aikido weapons training, is the katana. This is a single edged, slightly curved sword. The katana is famous in the Ancient Sword Arts, in the world as the sword of the samurai. In the Aikido weapons training, آپ will also be taught how to handle, hold, fight, and defend, using the tanto which, in reality is a چھری یا a short bladed sword. The tanto was also greatly know for it's popularity among the men and women, who lived سے طرف کی the samurai code during ancient times.

As we keep looking further, we find another bladed weapon used in Aikido weapons training. This is the ninja-to. The ninja-to are swords used سے طرف کی those mysterious ninjas. Samurai's back in ancent times, also had wakizashi swords at their disposal. The Wakizashi swords are usually two feet long and are paired with the katana swords. The j? however, is a four-foot long wooden staff used, not only سے طرف کی Aikido but سے طرف کی other martial artists as well. When we fuse the Aikido techniques with jo, the principle is called aiki-j? This involves an integration of Aikido techniques, which uses the j? to illustrate Aikido's wisdom and principles with a weapon.
