This one is a bit shorter. Sorry....
Chapter Three
“Hey Scotts. Are آپ and گلبہار, گل داؤدی alright?” I asked into the cell phone.
“Yeah, we're fine. The atmosphere is a little awkward, since, y'know, pretty much everybody is in the same space. I think Natalia and Tallulah are bonding though-”
“Stay focused. What's the setup?”
“Well, everyone is paired up with someone else to bunk with. There are bunk beds in each room, but they look sketchy, so pretty much everyone sleeps on the floor in sleeping bags. The whole place isn't very welcoming. It's made of solid concrete. There aren't any windows 'cause it's, آپ know, underground. There's a laundry room and a باورچی خانے, باورچی خانہ besides the bedrooms, but that's it. It's hard on a girl's back to spend the night on solid cement...” She explained.
“Okay so, nothing has happened? آپ all are safe?”
“Yup! Be محفوظ out there, Zana. I don't know what I would do if something happened to any of you. Oh, Daze wants to talk with Dennis. Can آپ hand the phone over?”
“Sure. Bye, Scottie.”
“Bye, Zanny-chan.”
I handed the phone off to Dennis, who was sitting on the edge of my bed. He started talking into the cell while I walked over to the closet and started changing. I don't mind that Dennis is there, because he's my brother. Dennis doesn't mind either, because he's mature enough to not get grossed out سے طرف کی his sister changing, and I respect that. Although, from that quiet little creepy laugh coming from the doorway, I suspect that a less mature being had entered my room.
“Francis, don't آپ have a girlfriend?” I questioned, not even bothering to turn around, یا to stop changing.
“Wee, but she is not here right now, is she?” He said, looking a lot like a rapist in the doorway.
Dennis held up the phone to Francis' ear, and even from across the room I could hear Scottie yelling at him. She must've heard the whole thing. I chuckled silently to myself. Francis is such a pervert, but he provides a lot of comedic relief in stressful situations, even if he doesn't mean to. I walked over to the mirror and checked to see if I had everything I needed. I still didn't know where exactly we were going, because they had not told me the location. I don't know if it will be hot یا cold, so I dressed for anything. Dark skinny jeans, my black tank top, trusty black hiking boots, and a water proof black جیکٹ with a hood. Lots of black, because it will be harder to see in the night. Plus, my moon necklace. It's an essential, because Scottie gave it to me. I looked behind myself to see how Francis was faring, but he had disappeared. Dennis was still on the edge of my bed, dressed in the exact thing I was. Except for a few differences in personal touches and... buttons.
For the record, I did not know Dennis had abs.
“Please button up your shirt.” I asked.
I reached down and did as he was told. For the first time, I noticed that he had dyed the tips of his normally blonde hair blue.
“What's with the tips?” I reached over and flipped his shaggy bangs.
“Daisy. She had always told me that I should have gotten colored tips, but I never listened. Over the phone, she told me she had dyed hers red, and that there was a box under the sink with my name on it. I found it, and it was blue dye. I never did use it, but I felt bad. Now that the world has gone near apocalypse, I thought that dying my hair the way she would like it would keep me reminded of what I'm fighting for. Who I'm fighting for. She's been my twin sister for a long time, Zana. She can be annoying at times, true. But she's مزید than my sister. She's my friend.” Tears started rolling down his cheeks as the thought of him losing گلبہار, گل داؤدی sunk in. I pulled him up to standing position and hugged him tight. He sobbed softly in my shoulder for a while, and eventually raised up and released me.
“Thank you, Zana.” He wiped his eye and put his glasses back on.
“Anything آپ need, I'm here.” I smiled at him, crying a little myself. He returned it.
I put my arm around his shoulders and we walked out of my room, half crying, half laughing.
~
“Well then, are we ready to go?” Asked Alfred, surveying the room.
Everyone was dressed basically the same except for minor details. We each had a small backpack with supplies and gear, as well as weapons, and knowledge in our brains.
“Alright. Let's head out.” I opened the door to the terror that was awaiting us.
