Another Fanfiction I know, but I love that one, so I thought I have to share it with آپ :).

The darkness had crept up all around her and seemed to linger just inches away and although she wanted to walk ہوم alone to clear her mind from everything that had happened, she was starting to feel even lonelier than before. The snowflakes were all around her in the wind, dancing, twirling, and if it’d been another night with another feeling, she’d noticed how beautiful it was. But she was lost in all the thoughts that blackened her mind tonight and all she felt from the snow was how the coldness sneaked underneath her clothes and froze her body to the core. Hope wasn’t lost, but she felt as if she’d been through a war. One she couldn’t win, couldn’t fully understand and she knew it would come back to haunt her over and over again no matter how much she would try to fight it.

Feeling hopeless and cold, she stopped outside a church. How could something so beautiful hold such evil? It was her job to know the answer, but she didn’t feel like working tonight. Her eyes filled up with tears when she thought about how powerless this evil had wanted her to feel, and though she’d tried to fight it, it felt hard to let go of that feeling just because it was all over now.

The snow had gathered upon her shoulders, the clearest contrast against her black hair and coat, and it felt heavy. Tears had left streaks down her cheeks that were turning into ice and she brushed them away, the mascara black against her fingertips. Turning to leave, she spotted someone on the other side of the street, someone she’d known would follow her ہوم without telling her. She knew he’d told the others to deal with the last part of the case without him, he’d deal with the paperwork tomorrow.

Crossing the street, she let herself be wrapped in his arms and felt the sudden warmth of his body against hers. The snow was soundless around them. He didn’t say a word when he brushed his fingers across her cheek, but she knew exactly what he was thinking. He’d been harsh, but he’d done everything he could to help and protect her throughout this, and she knew how much that meant. He could have offered her more, مزید help, مزید time, مزید of him, but that wouldn’t be like him. He’d done everything he knew how to and now he felt like he hadn’t done enough. And she wanted him to know that it was okay, that she knew what went on inside of him and that she was grateful for everything and she hoped that he saw this in her eyes. He’d saved her, but she knew that he didn’t see it that way. Feeling his hand لپیٹ, لفاف کریں around hers, they turned to continue walking. The snow kept gathering upon their shoulders and from a distance, they were two dark silhouettes slowly making their way ہوم through the night.

They’d finished the case and it was over, but she wondered how long it would be before it’d come back to find her. Shivering at the thought, she turned to look at him and seeing his dark eyes watch the سٹریٹ, گلی in front of them, she wondered if he’d be there to protect her again. When they’d finally gotten to her house and he hadn’t let go of her hand when they’d walked up to the front door, somehow she knew he would. He’d always be there for her. Opening the door, they both walked inside, two dark shadows slipping through the doorframe, clinging to each other for comfort. The need to be together, to not be alone and cold again was something she wanted him to know she was feeling tonight.

And maybe the evil would come back, maybe it’d make her feel just as powerless and lost as she had tonight. But with him سے طرف کی her side, she knew that she would get through it all, whatever it would be. Hope wasn’t lost. And when the evil would make her feel like it was, he’d always be there to remind her that it never will be.
