In all the miserable years of his positively miserable existence he had never been this miserable.

and this was for several reasons:
1.) everyone thought he was a nutjob
2.) they were probably right
3.) He had not slept in weeks
4.) The ever-present burning pain in his leg was becoming seemingly immune to vicodin


Gregory House limped over to the leather sofa in the living room area in his apartment and heaved a huge sigh as he slowly lowered himself down. He popped two pills into his mouth and sighed again.
"Thats four vicodin in ten minutes. Youre going to kill yourself" amber appeared out of nowhere. His eyes snapped open. "Will آپ get the hell out of here?" with a stab of fear he remembered he was talking to a hallucination, confirming everyone elses suspicions that he was losing his mind. He shook his head to clear it. "Im not going to just go away. Im part of you" amber purred in his ear. House startled. "Im not answering آپ anymore. آپ dont exist." He closed his eyes and lowered his head into his hands, massaging his temples. All of a sudden there was a knock on the door. Too tired to answer, he just called "Its open". He heard the door open and a pair of stiletto-like shoes پار, صلیب the polished wood floors on thier way to the couch. He, of course, knew perfectly well who his "mystery" visitor was. He wouldnt let himself beleive it. This has to be another hallucination. He felt a warm hand on his back. So this wasnt a hallucination. He couldnt feel a hallucinations touch. Well, if this was real, what possible reason could Cuddy have for paying him random a visit on a monday night? The answer was staring him right in the face. She was worried about him. He cringed inwardly. Was he really that pathetic?"House" cuddy stepped around the back of the سوفی, لٹانا and sat on the armrest, leaning like she was trying to look at his face, which was still buried in his hands."Wilson told me about whats been happening.....House?" He finally looked up. He looked like someone who was stressed, in pain, and sleep-deprived. Her eyes told him she wasnt going to just leave without a real conversation. "Did آپ bring a straightjacket to carry me off in in case i start going insane and foaming at the mouth?" he prompted, raising his eyebrows. He had been hoping to shake her up, even annoy her, anything to get that pitying sad-puppy dog look out of her eyes. It didnt work. He sat up against the سوفی, لٹانا cushion, resting his head against the سب, سب سے اوپر of the sofa so he was looking at the cieling. He felt her hand steal into his. An electric current shot through his arm and through his entire body.. The undying pain in his leg flickered at her touch. He closed his eyes slowly and relaxed.......

His eyes jerked open.
Of course he hadnt really been asleep. He just closed his eyes and tried to soak up as much of her hand-hold as he possibly could before she released him. Her hand was now out of his and she had left the sofa. He leaned his head back farther and saw her at the door getting ready to leave. What he didnt see as he got up to follow her was the tear she brushed away from her cheek. the tears flowed down her face like a river, and once they started there was no stopping them. She looked down toward the floor, continuing to brush them away until she saw two feet on the mahogany colored floor in front of her. She looked up and there he was. She tried to look away again but he took her chin in his hand and gently turned her face back towrd him again. She sniffed. "If i was, سے طرف کی chance, an arrogant sort of guy" he began in a quiet voice with sarcastic undertones "i might assume those tears had something to do with me". He gently brushed a tear from her face. "Im not insane, Cuddy.....Dont worry about me. Please". She looked him in the eyes for the first time at the word. He was staring intently but tenderly at her face, as though he was trying to engrave it permanently into his mind. She had seen this look only a few times before."You want to kiss me, dont you?" his look didnt waver 'I always want to kiss you" If cuddy was glowing on the outside, it was absolutley nothing to how she felt on the inside. He took her hand and inched his face ever so slightly towards her. She followed suit. They were centimeters apart. He pulled her closer. She could feel his breath on her face. There lips met...

House woke up with a jolt. At first he was angry. Angry at himself for waking up during the best dream he had ever had. Angry at the ringing phone at his feet wich was the real cause of him waking up. And finally he was angry at cuddy for leaving him alone in his apartment. And then something dawned on him. he had slept. for the first time in WEEKS. REM sleep. real sleep. for multiple hours. without the aid of sleeping pills. He smiled. His smile grew as he looked down. Cuddy was there. She had fallen asleep اگلے to him. He stroked her hair and lifted her head off of the سوفی, لٹانا cushion. His dream was coming true. She blinked a few times and woke completley. She smiled hugely. There was nothing to say, this was مزید than words. She reached up around his neck and kissed him fully. And he kissed back. He could hear amber clapping in the back round.
