I just wish that someone would put out a series that didn't have anything to do with Phoenix AT ALL! X-men Evolution did pretty well, until the last episode when they showed the 5 second flash of Phoenix. Why can't everyone do that? Why does everything have to be all Phoenix, all the time? There are other sides to Jean Grey then having a fiery cosmic force taking over her being and causing her death many times over. Sure it makes a good story, but so did being Marvel Girl.

I do like Phoinex but Jean Grey has not always been Phoinex and she shouldn't just be shown as Phoinex or a weak, useless person. I mean in most things she is fairly useless and can be taken out by using her powers too much or any other little thing until she becomes Phoinex.God forbid she should be a good character who isn't possessed by a fiery space bird

Exactly, but her being mostly useless is what made her Jean Grey. It's what classified her (other than that damned Phoenix Force). I think we just see too much Phoenix associated with her. What happened to Marvel Girl? Where is she? If anyone has any idea, please let me know. (and no, I'm not talking about the Marvel Girl who is in space with her uncle and almost aunt. I'm talking about the original)

See I like the Jean from around the 90's who didn't have Phoinex but still kicked ass.

That's what they need to bring back, and maybe reintroduce her as. A girl minus a cosmic force that has been terrorizing her and can still kick major ass...while kicking her husband's ass out for acting like a dumbass while she was gone.

I think the Phoenix storyline is cool and definitely deserves some recognition, but when EVERYONE starts doing it, it gets really annoying and tiresome, because then you're watching the same thing over and over.

They never do it justice, so I'd rather not have it.

It's become a cliche and it really needs to go away. Something else needs to come in it's place.
