The character was created سے طرف کی request of many Korean شائقین who wished for Capcom to add a Korean character in سٹریٹ, گلی Fighter, something already established سے طرف کی SNK and Namco in their respective fighting franchises. Juri is the first South Korean character, the first Taekwondo user, and the first true villainess in the سٹریٹ, گلی Fighter series.
Juri wears a small, purple breastplate, supported with black straps that fastened to form a مکڑی pattern on her back. She wears long, baggy, off-white colored trousers and purple tights, and long, fingerless gloves. Her fingernails and toenails are painted bright pink. She has dark hair styled into two horn-like bangs at the سب, سب سے اوپر of her head, which appear to be fastened with گلابی ribbons. She also wears Tae Kwon Do foot garments.
Juri is a warrior who fights for the thrill of the battle though the reasoning behind her drive is مزید vengeful, and likes inflicting pain on her opponents. She has some femme fatale elements, as she makes provocative and suggestive remarks toward her enemies, and also betrays those she was working with for her own plans. She possesses a strong, sensual figure, but is cunning and a somewhat sadistic, fighter with a urge to cause destruction to her most hated enemies. She is a calculating woman, callous to her foes at times, and treats her allies as pawns if needed. Her personality, particularly against men at times, can be compared to a female spider. Despite her personality, she will give her opponents a chance to flee یا leave, and only fights when she has to, meaning that she has a small sense of honor; during her rampage (which took place during the events of Super سٹریٹ, گلی Fighter IV), she left a young boy alive, دکھانا some mercy.
Juri and Chun-Li have a strong rivalry. Chun-Li, who hates criminals, tries to arrest Juri, such as when she tried to kill Chun-Li and Cammy in the عملی حکمت trailer, and when she harms and captures the Dolls, despite originally expressing disdain at having to fight women. Juri loves to taunt and poke fun at Chun-Li, even making suggestive remarks, such as stating that Chun-li had a 'schoolgirl' crush on her. Unlike Chun-li's hatred for her, Juri does not seem to hate Chun-li as much as she does enjoy toying and mocking her.

Juri and Cammy have a mutual contempt for each other. Cammy bears a grudge against Juri for what she did to her "sisters", the Dolls. Juri maintains that Cammy is sinful because of what she did in the past, before she lost her memory. Juri also tried to murder Cammy (as well as Juni) سے طرف کی throwing them off her plane, but did not expect them to survive and their fall to be broken سے طرف کی the soft snow.
Juri hates M. بائسن, بائسن کے طور because his organization murdered her parents. However, the two have formed a tag team in the non-canon سٹریٹ, گلی Fighter X Tekken, likely because Juri wishes to exact her revenge on Bison, and take Pandora for herself.
Juri sees Seth as a pawn in her attempt to get revenge for murder of her parents, despite the perverse joy she displays in working for him and brutally dealing with the enemies of S.I.N. However, after Seth soundly loses to Bison, Juri appears, stomps on his Tanden Engine, and leaves him for dead.
In the S.I.N. laboratory, Juri undergoes an operation on her eye. She gains the Feng Shui Engine, which gives her incredible ki, speed and power. It is revealed that Juri was a prominent practitioner of Taekwondo when she was 15. Her father was a lawyer in charge of prosecuting organized crime operations. In this capacity, Shadoloo was his اگلے target, causing her family to be kidnapped سے طرف کی that very organization. During the ordeal, Juri lost her parents, and her left eye was gravely wounded.
After the operation, Juri proceeds to assassinate operatives in a public area which was her first mission to test out the Feng Shui Engine. Even with guns, her enemies stood no chance against her as she took them out one سے طرف کی one سے طرف کی attacking them from behind. Chun-Li, Cammy and Guile were called to the scene to stop her massacre. Chun-Li rushes into the scene to arrest Juri, and arrives just as Juri kills a gummen سے طرف کی making a exploding attack سے طرف کی the Ki of her Feng Shui Engine from the inside of a building, but a woman dies in the attack mistakenly (however, a boy survives). Juri and Chun-Li battle, ending with Juri unleashing her eye's power and knocking out Chun-Li. As her victim lay on the ground, Juri prepared to deal the finishing blow. Just as she was about to murder Chun-Li, her Feng Shui Engine malfunctioned, forcing her to flee back to the lab.
After fixing it, Seth assigns Juri her اگلے mission: capturing Bison's elite female assassins, the Dolls. Juri flies to the base of the dolls with several S.I.N. employees. She manages to defeat every single assassin in combat, including Juli and Juni. As she was carrying the two unconcious assassins away to an S.I.N plane, Cammy and Guile arrive. They have a heated fight, but Juri comes out on سب, سب سے اوپر and manages to incaptitate Guile. She boards her plane and straps Juni and Juli to beds with wheels. As it takes off, Cammy manages to jump and grab onto the open boarding ramp, and confronts Juri for one final time. After an intense conflict, Juri pushes one of the rolling tables (with Juni on it) which collides with Cammy, who both fall off the boarding ramp into mid-air. Unluckily for Juri, they survive the fall as there was soft snow at the bottom of their fall.
During the global tournament hosted سے طرف کی Seth, he sends Juri in to participate; the malicious woman sees it as a perfect opportunity for some 'fun'. During the tournament, Juri is confronted سے طرف کی Cammy and Chun-Li, whom she easily defeats again. After humiliating the MI6 and Interpol agents, she leaves them to tend to her hidden agenda.
In her ending, she approachs the incapacitated Seth (result of Bison's brutal beating) and taunts him for "being nothing مزید than Bison's spare body". Before she is to dispose of him, she reveals that she was to serve S. I. N. for as long as it suited her purposes while she was merely trying to pit Seth and بائسن, بائسن کے طور against each other; the task Seth obviously was not up to. Juri then viciously crushes Seth's Tanden Engine سے طرف کی stomping on it and leaves him for dead.
Juri is a playable character in the non-canon سٹریٹ, گلی Fighter X Tekken, where she forms a shaky alliance with her arch nemesis, M. Bison. In the accompanying CG trailer, she is seen defeating Ling Xiaoyu during what seems to be Bison's raid on Mishima Zaibatsu. Juri throws Xiaoyu inside the Jin's office where Jin is desperately trying to fend off Bison. Seeing the incapacitated Xiaoyu causes Jin to give in to his Devil Gene. He quickly grabs Juri سے طرف کی her head, but hesitates to finish her off, as he is trying to regain control of himself. Juri uses this to her advantage and kicks Jin away. بائسن, بائسن کے طور intervenes and strikes Jin down using his trademark اقدام - the Psycho Crusher. Jin is finally consumed سے طرف کی his Devil Gene as Juri and بائسن, بائسن کے طور stare at him, apparently intimidated سے طرف کی the latest development.
Juri and Bison's ending is similar to that of fellow Shadaloo members Vega and Balrog. بائسن, بائسن کے طور begins harnessing the power of the Pandora. While he is seemingly distracted, Juri finally shows her true colors and attempts to strike him down from behind. Bison, apparently aware of Juri's schemes, easily avoids her attack سے طرف کی teleporting above her. He tells her that he knew all along what she was up to and mocks her predictability. As the tension mounts, the power of Pandora kicks in within them and the two begin charging at each other. The screen then fades to black.
Juri's Swap Costume is Zafina's outfit from Tekken 6. Alisa's Swap Costume is a torn, altered version of Juri's costume.
Juri is an offensively oriented character. She uses a few punches, but mostly uses kicks. Juri is a very flashy fighter who likes to toy with her opponent, and is used best in bursts of aggression. Like most characters that use Tae Kwon Do in fighting games (e.g. Kim Kaphwan and Hwoarang), she is a rushdown character.
Juri has a fireball technique that she can choose to charge in a method similar to Balrog's Turn مککا, عجیب الخلقت یا El Fuerte's quesadilla باورچی, قیسادیلا Bomb. If she chooses to charge it, she does a high kick that leaves a trail of energy which will hit very close opponents یا منسوخ out approaching projectiles if timed correctly. Juri can then unleash her fireball at any time after that سے طرف کی releasing the button, either immediately یا much later in the match.
Her most notable technique is her pinwheel kick, which moves her آگے as she does a wheel kick similar to Guile's Flash Kick and Chun-Li's Spinning Bird Kick. Her EX version hits several times and launches the opponent into the air. Juri also has a counter اقدام known as Kasatushi, in which she taunts her enemy into hitting her, and if the opponent strikes, Juri will either اقدام backwards, jump into the air (and optionally react with an air attack), یا dart behind her opponent.
Juri possesses an aerial dive kick that moves at several ranges depending on the kick button pressed following the air motion, and can be followed up with مزید kicks. Her EX version causes the opponent to دیوار bounce, which opens up specific combo opportunities.
Juri's Super Combo, Fuharenjin, has her unleash a flurry of fireballs that juggles the opponent, ending with a fireball that hits the opponent in the air diagonally. Her first Ultra Combo is Feng Shui Engine, which is a time-based اقدام that allows her to chain together combos with her normal moves that ordinarily wouldn't combo together via the power of Juri's eponymous eye. Her سیکنڈ Ultra Combo is Kaisen Dankairaku (chosen مزید often due to its easier use and direct damage), where Juri kicks the oppoennent, follows up with a multi-hit helicopter kick, and then kicks her opponent to the ground. Using the Feng Shui Engine's power, she gets to the ground before they land, "catches" them with one last kick, and then slams her opponent to the ground.
Super سٹریٹ, گلی Fighter IV's development team was instructed to make a female, Korean character. The designers toyed with many different ideas, totaling between 400 and 500 variations of the character's appearance. Design Director Kamei کہا regarding Juri: "From the start, we felt like, 'let's make her an evil, sexy character'."[3] The creators decided to give Juri a strong, unusual personality to make her a character which people will either love یا hate. Juri was made to be a member of the Shadaloo Intimidation Network to associate her with the سٹریٹ, گلی Fighter IV characters. Thus, the Feng Shui Engine was created to give her a strong connection with S.I.N. The creators thought about putting the engine in her abdomen (like Seth's Tanden Engine), but as this looked unattractive they ended up putting it in her eye. An idea early in development was to have her in a tragic love story, caught up with the wrong people. However once this was put to senior staff member Ono, he responded with: "No way, that's no good, she can't be a good girl. Surprise everyone and make her a really evil chick."[4] They also chose to make a مکڑی Juri's trademark, thus the spider-web design on her سب, سب سے اوپر and her nickname (Spider).[5]
Taekwondo had not been used سے طرف کی any character in the سٹریٹ, گلی Fighter series before, so they decided that it would be a great chance to make Juri a practitioner.[6] Juri's outfit was designed specifically so that her silhouette would look like a traditional Taekwondo outfit, but they gave her bright colors and unique designs to differentiate her from the rest of the cast. Juri shows off traditional Taekwondo moves, however she "roughs it up" سے طرف کی putting her own spin on them, as well as throwing in a few of her own moves. She was designed to be a hectic character with fast attacks that keep her opponents off guard, her weakness being her defense, somewhat placing her as a rushdown character with little defensive options یا a "glass cannon"(having strong offense یا attack while paired with low health), یا both. The way she executes her moves were made to give them a sadistic feeling. She was created to be a very hard character to learn, but once mastered, a very rewarding character.[7]
