In Hunger Games you seem to be able to note who she really is - in catching fire she's changing, and trying to decide who is going to be with her in the future, and if she's actually going to HAVE a future

she's actually not so different in the two books to me. but in Catching Fire she loses a little of herself. she gets drunk, she runs away from her troubles when she realizes she's going back in the arena. the only time shes like this in book 1 is when she's stung by tracker jackers.

I agree with percyandpotter she does doe different stuff in catching fire. I feel like she more real in the first because she does stuff I think I would do.

Yep Katniss is a lot better in THG. and Rue!! she's also one of the reasons this book is my favorite!!!!

Even though Catching Fire is my favorite of the three, Katniss is at her prime in The Hunger Games.
