Honestly I think if the Simpsons can run for over 20 seasons, King of the Hill could as they found humor in everyday situations and didn't really go over the top.

I think Mike Judge was right to end it when he ran out of ideas. If there's nothing left to tell, there's nothing left to tell. He closed it gracefully, and I think it ran for just the right amount of episodes. Heck, 255 is maybe even more than plenty for me.

I always felt the show ended suddenly and without closure. It was ahead of its time with the political correct jokes. It would still be very funny today.
