how wasn't Richard Surprised سے طرف کی seeing Jack and Hurley when he Watched them all die back in 1977?

I've read it on lostpedia

Richard knew that they were jumping through time. That's the only explanation I have.

What do آپ mean he watched them all die? He didn't see them die.. we don't even know what happened when the bomb went off and they jumped through time. Maybe they just vanished, who knows.
He also knows events on the island can't be explained sometimes, he doesn't seem to be surprised سے طرف کی much at this point.
