Until one day.
Pa kissed applejack کی, اپپلیجاک on the head as he packed his paintings into the back of his cart. "When will آپ be back?" whined Applejack. "I'm just goin' to the art fair on the other side of town," he explained. "I'll be back soon, my little apple."
And with that, he pulled the کی ٹوکری, رکن کی نمائندہ onto the long road that winded through Ponyville.
applejack کی, اپپلیجاک leaned on me. "Big Mac?"
"Eeyup?"
"Has Mama been actin' strange lately?" applejack کی, اپپلیجاک looked at me with young, yet wise eyes.
I wondered about that. I had noticed Ma's strange behavior, but I hadn't thought much about it.
Just then, Ma came out. "Supper!" she called to us, and AJ and I trotted into our farmhouse.
Ma sat us down at the table. "Now, young 'uns, I have a big announcement to make..."
applejack کی, اپپلیجاک and I exchanged excited looks. Could this possibly be the reason why she's been off lately?
"I'm... well, I'm havin' another baby."
Applejack's mouth, which had been chewing a heap of mashed potatos, fell open and the white, mushy food fell out, back onto her plate.
"You're--you're jokin'." I said, shocked. "Another baby? گدھے کو, گدھی یا filly? When's it due?"
"It's due in four months, and it's a filly, honey."
I sank back onto the cushion that we sat on for dinner. Another little sister? "So that means... you've been pregnant for 7 months?" (True fact. Ponies and horses are pregnant for 11 months.)
applejack کی, اپپلیجاک was still gaping with her mouth open, her green eyes huge.
"I'm... I'm gonna be a big sister." All of a sudden, she grinned, her ears perking up. "Big Mac, isn't this awesome?!"
"I... well... yeah... but..." I was still too surprised to react properly.
applejack کی, اپپلیجاک danced around my hooves. "Yee-haw!"
We went to بستر early that night. I saw the light in Applejack's room being flickered on and off. She was seemingly too excited to fall asleep.
I smiled, and fell asleep.
A few گھنٹہ later, however, I was awoken سے طرف کی a scream and sobbing downstairs.
