Production has started for the sci fi hit Orphan Black\'s fourth season and the suspense just seems to intensify.

Based on the official synopsis for Season 4, Sarah (Tatiana Maslany) will be returning to her Icelandic hideout. The season is expected to revolve around her mission to track down a supposed ally but this person is described as "elusive and mysterious."

Screen Rant has reported that Sarah will also be faced with a new enemy which will compel her to revert to her old ways and cause immense damage to her personal relationships.

Meanwhile a Yibada report confirmed that production is truly under way and that the show will be headed to a whole new direction this season.

"@OrphanBlack #CloneClub yep we are rolling!" series creator and executive producer John Fawcett captioned a photo from the set of the show.

The photo showed Maslany sporting her Helena wig so fans expect to see Helena this season. Donnie could also be seen in the photo so there could be a possibility that Helena and Alison\'s husband Donnie could have scenes this season as well. This would not be a surprising development as the two were able to establish a close relationship last season.

Beth will play also play a major part this season as Sarah tries to talk to her friends and family members to know more about her.

When asked what the season holds in store for viewers, Maslany remained tight lipped and instead joked in her answer.

"What\'s not gonna happen? Flight. The miracle of flight. I will not learn how to fly in this season. I can guarantee that," Maslany told TVLine.

Orphan Black returns to BBC Spring 2016 and will feature 10 episodes for Season 4.
