I dislike phony sweetness more than than I dislike mean people. I would much rather know exactly where things stand than to deal with some folks who are not at all what they seem. All smoochy smoochy in public, and back-biting curs behind the scenes.
I like a good spar. If someone doesn't like me and wants to bring it, I'm more than happy to play with them as long as they are worthy opponents. If I can see they have no brains or wit backing up their snideness, though, then I just shake my head and move on.
i also like to "forgive and forget".
you cant control what other people do, no reason it has to bother you.
I try very hard to be polite, but you just can't please everyone. Most of the time I let bygones be bygones.
For major upsets, I realize that the problem lies with me: it's some hot-button issue of mine and I just want to react. That's the best time to walk away. As Trent the Uncatchable was wont to say: "There is no problem so large it cannot be run away from" (sic).
still laughing!!!
Accept Your Anger and Lift It Up to God
Live in Harmony with the Will of God
Forgive Those for Whom You Hold Anger
We must be honest with what we feel and yet notallow it, which in this case is angerr, to control us. The bible tells us to be “slow” in expressing our anger. (See James 1:19; Ecclesiastes 7:9 Prov25:8.)Ephesians4-26Instructs us not to procrastinate in dealing with the issues that have produced our anger.. Ephesians 4:26 says do not let the sun go down on your anger. we have to tryand deal with the issues whil they are clear and before they grow. We need to take care of our anger and the issues that produced it bbecause sinless anger becomes sinful bitterness.. which is the product of a long held resentment
O.K. may be a bit simplistic but anger is first an emotiom then an attitude and finally it will turn into an aaction. Anger begins as a feeling of displeasure but it can develop into an attitude of hostillity and become and aggressive destructive action or behavior if we do not deal with it early on.
I hope I havent offended anyone with my what may seem to be "diatribe" and my biblical useage....Thats Irony!
Yours in His service
James
However, I am referring to how I deal in the real world. The internet is a different story - I'm with the good DrD and Harold on that.
