Slenvi chose Slasher as her اگلے Pokemon while Justice decided to go with Gallade. Since Justice lost the گزشتہ round, she was دیا the opportunity to see what Slenvi chose before picking her own Pokemon. Slenvi was impressed that Justice would go for Gallade so early. Gallade was the Pokemon Justice had that had the most chance of destroying her team. Whereas Slasher was Slenvi’s fastest. The referee waited a moment, looking to each trainer one last time before he waved the flag signaling the beginning of the سیکنڈ round.
Neither Pokemon needed an order to attack. Both just leapt straight at the opposing Pokemon. Gallade and Slasher both attacked with their left side آگے and as the two collided in the middle of the field, both activated Leaf Blade at the last moment, causing a circular burst of wind to blow outwards from the collision of these two powerful attacks. Now was when Slenvi and Justice began to issue out orders.
Slenvi: “Great work, Slasher! Now leap back and utilize your speed to get through its defenses!”
Slasher didn’t acknowledge Slenvi with anything other than the simple action of obeying her. Slasher pushed on Gallade’s Leaf Blade while at the same time, taking a leap backwards and proceeding to run in circles through the گھاس around Gallade. Gallade was no pushover and managed to keep track of Slasher for a while before finally losing track of the green blur. It looked around with a rather confused look as it attempted to locate its opponent.
Justice: “Don’t let it overwhelm آپ Gallade! Focus on hearing it rather than seeing it!”
Slenvi smirked. “Didn’t آپ learn in school that light is faster than sound? Well too bad! سے طرف کی the time Gallade hears Slasher’s attack, it’ll be too late to stop it.”
Slenvi may have predicted the future because Slasher didn’t wait long to launch its attack, a ferocious Aerial Ace. The blindingly fast attack hit Gallade just as it was recognizing what it was hearing. True to Gallade’s skill, it did come close to evading, but Aerial Ace was known for never missing and Gallade was knocked backwards, taking a high amount of damage from the super effective strike.
Justice: “GALLADE!” she shouted in a worried tone.
Gallade’s eyes snapped open a سیکنڈ after hearing Justice’s shout. It stood up rather quickly and shook itself. Gallade acted like it was fine, but anyone could tell it was hurt after that attack; that being said, Justice was not about to give up now.
Justice: “Alright Gallade. Let’s do this. Keep your head in the game. We can still win this.”
Gallade nodded.
Slenvi: “You still intend to fight? Well I can’t say I didn’t expect anything less, but آپ really should stop before Gallade gets مزید hurt than it has to.”
Justice: “Act tough all آپ want. That trick won’t work a سیکنڈ time.”
Slenvi: “Won’t it? Well I didn’t plan on using it again anyway. Slasher! Let’s دکھائیں them what we mean; Leaf Storm!”
Slasher nodded and closed its eyes. A سیکنڈ later, the attack began. The entire field, which had been cut earlier during Mushri and Espeon’s battle, lifted high into the air due to massive winds kicking up. Gallade dug its feet in and managed to stay on the ground. Slasher seemed unaffected سے طرف کی the winds and a couple سیکنڈ later, the attack was prepared and all of the leaves began to shoot down at Gallade like a hailstorm. Gallade didn’t have time to receive an order from Justice so it acted on its own, using Leaf Blade on both arms and slicing through the leaves at a speed آپ would never expect possible. Despite the speed of Gallade’s attack though, a few of them did manage to hit it, but not enough to do much damage. The real danger came just as the storm was ending. Slasher charged in and slashed Gallade across the chest with Leaf Blade. Gallade’s heels were still dug in so Gallade only skidded back an inch یا two. That didn’t matter because Slasher merely allowed itself to keep spinning and hit Gallade again with its other blade. Again, Gallade only skidded back a few inches. Slasher repeated this process ten times before it paused for a second, bent down a bit. Then it stood up straight in one motion while at the same time, slamming Gallade with one مزید Leaf Blade which sent it finally flying backwards.
Gallade landed roughly and bounced, where it flipped and skidded back a foot in a crouched position. Slasher once again used its superior speed and appeared directly behind Gallade. Gallade’s eyes looked to the side and it started to spin around but was hit one last time سے طرف کی Slasher’s Leaf Blade, sending it sprawling into the ground on its back. Slasher seemed winded سے طرف کی the exertion of such a brutally fast attack, but winded didn’t even begin to describe Gallade’s condition. Gallade was breathing heavily and was in quite a bit of pain. It took Gallade awhile to get itself up, سے طرف کی which time Slasher had regained its breath.
Slenvi grunted. Gallade was one sturdy Pokemon. She had better end this once and for all. “Slasher, Aerial Ace!”
Slasher didn’t need to hear more. It began to run around Gallade again, who was either too tired یا too weak to follow its movements. Slasher was unnerved سے طرف کی this and attacked Gallade fiercely with Aerial Ace…
...and was stopped in its tracks as Slasher’s attack was grabbed and brought to a halt سے طرف کی Gallade. Slasher’s eyes widened. This had never happened before.
Slenvi’s eyes had widened as well. It not only had never happened before, it was plainly impossible. Aerial Ace could not be blocked! “HOW?!” she exclaimed.
Justice smiled. “Didn’t I tell آپ that attack would not work a سیکنڈ time? آپ see it is true that it is impossible to merely see an Aerial Ace coming and dodge it, but that’s a completely different story if آپ know exactly what your opponent is thinking!”
Slenvi: “What? So that means…”
Justice: “That’s correct. Gallade is a psychic type Pokemon with the ability to read its opponents mind to predict what اقدام they will use اگلے and even when they will use it. That being said, it isn’t perfect. Strong minds can keep Gallade out, but that in itself is an advantageous situation for Gallade. Gallade is a master of attacking both its opponents mind and body at the same time. Can آپ honestly tell me that Slasher can defend against both of Gallade’s assaults without quickly being overwhelmed? آپ asked about what I learned in school earlier, didn’t you? Well now I’ll return the favor. Didn’t آپ learn not to underestimate the power of a psychic type Pokemon in that big bad academy of yours?”
Slenvi cursed under her breath. Justice was right on both accounts. She hadn’t taken into account Gallade’s psychic powers. It made sense now why Justice would go for Gallade to take on Slasher. Who better to make Slasher’s speed useless than a Pokemon that could predict its every move? But wait…
Slenvi: “Why wait to use this ability now? Why not use it from the start?”
Justice shrugged. “Gallade is the warrior type. It prefers to fight fair and square and only resort to its psychic side when absolutely necessary. Also it’s never a good idea to use your ace in the hole so soon in a fight.”
Slenvi nodded.
While this conversation was going on, Slasher was struggling to break free from Gallade’s grip, and failing. Gallade waited a سیکنڈ longer before slamming Slasher into the ground with as much force as it could muster, doing a bit of damage, but Gallade wasn’t done. Gallade then attacked the pinned Slasher with a forceful Close Combat attack, dealing a huge amount of damage. Both of Gallade’s defenses were lowered, but that hardly mattered since it had a preemptive line of defense already.
Slenvi: “Nice trick, but you’ll need مزید than that! Slasher! Use Leaf Storm and get some distance!”
Slasher nodded and a quick Leaf Storm later distracted Gallade long enough for Slasher to get some distance. سے طرف کی now, both of them had no مزید PP left for Leaf Blade, but they still had plenty of other attacks they could use.
Slenvi: “It doesn’t matter if آپ can predict our moves if آپ can’t defend against them! Slasher, use Leaf Storm again!”
Slasher nodded and once again created a Leaf Storm. Gallade was prepared and managed to dodge most of them, but its focus shifted as it sensed Slasher’s sneak attack just in time. Slasher was using Aerial Ace so it was impossible to dodge it, but it was possible to counter it with one of Gallade’s own moves. Gallade attacked with Zen Headbutt and the psychic attack not only lessened the Aerial Ace سے طرف کی quite a bit, but it also did مزید damage to Slasher. Slasher was knocked back while Gallade was just stunned for a moment when Slasher recovered in midair and attacked with another Aerial Ace. Gallade stayed immobile and moved at just the last minute, grabbing Slasher’s arm, taking damage while it did so, but also hitting Slasher with another Zen Headbutt. Slasher was knocked back and would have attacked again if not for Slenvi stopping him.
Slenvi: “Enough, Slasher!”
Slenvi looked serious. This was bad. Gallade was allowing itself to take damage from Slasher’s Aerial Aces for a reason. Slasher was taking مزید damage than it was giving out right now. If this continued, it was up in the air whether Slasher یا Gallade would drop first. That psychic power of Gallade’s was hard to deal with. The only way was If not even Slasher knew what attack it was using…yes…that might work.
Slenvi: “Slasher, use your instincts and attack!”
Slasher was confused. Slenvi never ordered him to attack on instinct. Slenvi preferred to always have a plan. What was going on? Well there was no time to bother overthinking it. Slasher did was Slenvi requested. It went with its gut and just mindlessly used the first attack it felt prepared to use, which happened to be the only one it hadn’t already used in this battle. Frenzy Plant.
Gallade couldn’t read what اقدام Slasher was going to use next. It was acting on instinct; its mind wasn’t running the دکھائیں which meant that it couldn’t use its psychic abilities to win anymore.
Justice noticed this too so she changed tactics. “GALLADE; Do the same! Use your instincts!”
Gallade was a warrior at دل so going with its instincts came to it far easier than it did for Slasher. Gallade closed its eyes and visualized the battlefield. It was like it could see the Frenzy Plant attack coming and it charged forward, leaping from plant to plant as the attack grew and grew. As Gallade got closer and closer to Slasher, the massive thorny plant roots grew to frightening sizes. Then, right as Gallade was just about to reach Slasher, with maybe two feet separating the two Pokemon; the roots caught up with Gallade and enclosed themselves around him where they began to tighten themselves, squeezing the life out of poor Gallade.
Slasher hesitated. It wasn’t sure if it was over. Then there was an extremely muffled thud; then another thud, even louder this time; then a third thud which reverberated throughout the whole stadium. The entire crowd was silent as ghosts.
Then just as the third thud faded away, the roots directly in front of Slasher, smashed to pieces as Gallade burst out and towards Slasher, having used Zen Headbutt over and over again to break free. There was a nasty looking bruise on its forehead as proof. Slasher didn’t have time to block the attack this time so it was hit dead on سے طرف کی Gallade’s final attack, a massively powerful Close Combat attack.
Whereas the crowd had originally been silent due to the anticipation of what would happen next, now they were silent due to the shock of what they had just witnessed. Slasher didn’t get up. It was done. Gallade was the winner, barely. The referee called the match and both Slenvi and Justice returned their Pokemon.
