I feel this was much more a Kirk movie so everything considered they got a nice development and some nice interactions but of course I wanted more too LOL I think I will always feel like that
the scene where he told her that he cares for her deeply is the best. very moving

Yes, into darkness was very much a movie about Kirk, while the previous one was secretly a movie about Spock. But I was happy with the S/U bits, they felt very genuine.

I loved it when Uhura was angry with him but Spock was confused hahaha I think he doesn't like it when she ignores him or is angry with him lol
