I agree with آپ they should have payed for Shmi's freedom and so much more, but they did give him a new life and a better ہوم even thow I would not what to be taken away from my mom even if in got me out of being a slave.
So no Ani did not get the things that meant a lot to him, but he did get other stuff that helped him as he grew up.

I understand all of that, but I do not think, even if it's their hero's mother, that Naboo would politically be able to buy her freedom. Their planet stands for peace and no slavery, so buying a slave with either collected, taxed, یا 'government' money, would go against all of their standards. Many other systems could use it against him. Also their planet was damaged سے طرف کی the trade federation. The have A LOT of debt to pay off. They have to repair all of that, so I can kind of understand that too.
