Luke Skywalker and Anakin Skywalker are both powerful, despite the fact that the prophesy deemed Ani "The Chosen One."

Why Nothing Is Wrong With Luke Skywalker:
1. Luke is loyal. Vader betrayed his fellow Jedi and the justice of the Republic for a selfish purpose: to save Padme. He cared little about the lives he ended. Only at the end of the Saga does Vader realize how much pain he's caused, and he realizes this سے طرف کی seeing the pain his son was experiencing at the hands of Sith Lord Sidious. Luke didn't have to turn to the Dark Side in order to see why he should be loyal to the good guys. He stuck with the Rebellion until justice was restored, even when he did find out that Vader was his father.
2. Luke didn't "screw up." A "screw up" is when someone makes a stupid mistake, NOT when someone willingly gives himself up to save his father. He merely refused to fight. It's not like he was incapable of fighting Vader یا Sidious. I've watched Episode VI at least 15 times, and nowhere during the final fight between Luke and Vader did I see Luke incompetent in the battle. He even managed to cut off Vader's arm, which is a remarkable feat considering the fact that Vader is so strong with the Force due to the unique number of midichlorians in his blood. Sidious was able to strike Luke down using Force Lightning because Luke WILLINGLY relinquished his side of the battle. Remember, he VOLUNTARILY cast away his lightsaber and refused to kill Vader, although Palpatine had commanded Luke to finish Vader off. So no, Luke did not "screw up." He stood up for justice سے طرف کی removing himself from the battle, which is why he was overcome سے طرف کی Sidious in the end.
3. Vader is ultimately the Chosen One because of the prophesy, but that doesn't make Luke any less powerful یا important; after all, Luke and Vader (Anakin) are both strong with the Force, since the Force is evidently with all the Skywalkers, according to Yoda. Also, if Luke had NOT been there to convince Vader that there was still good in him, then what do آپ think would've been the chances of Vader turning to the good side again? My guess is that he wouldn't have دیا two thoughts about turning good when it seemed like the Rebellion was finally about to crumble and fall. Luke was powerful in the sense that he was perfectly capable of fighting Sidious and Vader, but he chose not to in the end because he was fully loyal to his father and the code of the Jedi (which says not to kill an unarmed man. At the end of his duel with Luke, Vader was unarmed.); Secondly, Sidious, Vader, and Yoda ALL admitted that Luke had become VERY powerful, so evidently he was a powerful Jedi; also, Luke was the "voice of truth" inside his father's head because he convinced him to turn back to the good side; lastly, Luke was humble and loving enough to not kill his evil father. He knew all about the amount of lives that Vader destroyed, and he knew that the only reason Vader pursued him was because Vader wanted him to become a Sith. Yet, Luke was willing to be killed سے طرف کی Sidious so that he wouldn't have to kill his father. It takes a TON of courage and power to do something like that for an malicious, villainous dad who hasn't shown affection towards آپ in any way.
So, as آپ can see, I clearly do not believe that Luke was a total flop. : ) So, I'm curious; what are your thoughts?
