With a Little Help From the Beatles Part 8

The Silence Of the Bullies

The دن of the sports tournament had finally arrived, and all of the student teams were preparing to دکھائیں their stuff. The tournament itself is divided into two categories. One is for the team sports, which are football, میز, جدول tennis, and cricket, and the other is for the individual sports, which are swimming, pole jumping, and the marathon. Laura was honored to be the captain of the yellow team. As she flexed her muscles, the ring leader of the bullies, who was also the red team's captain, exclaimed, "Well, well, well, we meet again, little sissy! I bet I can beat آپ instantly here!" The other girls then taunted her. However, this became ineffective for them as Laura retorted back, "Oh, yeah?! Well, what makes آپ think I can't win just because I used to be an orphan, آپ grotty weasels? Nobody cares about you!" This retort was so strong that the bullies were silenced in an almost paralyzed manner. The Beatles cheered for her with George clapping and John saying, "You've done it, Laura! Our retort challenge has paid off." In response, she smiled big and gave a two thumbs up. Soon, the tournament started, and Laura's winning streak was building up very well.

Finding a TV studio was no problem when آپ were a Beatle. The boys had played in every good studio in town. When they got there, though, the door was swinging ominously on its hinges. The four lads exchanged glances. "Uh-oh..."
"The Beast has already been here," murmured George. He took a small step forward, not really sure if it would be better to continue on یا turn around and find somewhere else. John put out a hand to stop George.

The passageway was dark, and dusty, and it sloped downwards as it wound along, twisting and turning so much that it was impossible for John to know which way he was facing. He also couldn't see a thing, but that didn't matter. It wasn't as if he would be able to see much of anything even if the place was brightly lit.
Perhaps it was better that his mates hadn't made it in, then, since the total darkness would be مزید of a problem for them. Still, John did wish they could have come along. He would have preferred that to doing this alone. John hoped the guards hadn't arrested them یا anything....

None of the Beatles slept well that night.
The four lads lived in an interconnected house that looked like four houses on the outside, but was really all one room when آپ went in. Each Beatle had his own section painted in his own choice of colour, but tonight no Beatle wanted to leave the others even to go to his own room. The four of them spent the night huddled on John's black leather sofa, trying to relax and trying not to jump at every sound.

Back in a familiar pub sipping their lagers and lime, the Beatles were able to calm down. They even laughed at themselves a bit, for having run away from those strangely behaving girls. It was a lot easier, in familiar, crowded, brightly lit surroundings, far away from the cold, unblinking girls, to convince themselves that there had really been nothing scary about the encounter at all. "Maybe," Paul کہا for all of them, "they were just too - too in awe of us to say anything."

The door to the theatre was left open after the شائقین surged in; no one thought about closing it.
