I definitely believe they reflect the American teens of the time purely because he cared so much about teens and took their problems seriously, representing them in an honest way. His films don't condescend young people and he took on feedback from young people about his films too. His films are still significant to this دن because he made films about real problems facing teenagers at the time that people still relate to. Andi in Pretty in گلابی having to help her father put روٹی on the table, the pressures of different groups in high school in The Breakfast Club with each and every one having their own stuff to deal with (abuse, pressure, trying to be popular, mental health). In my opinion John Hughes films are the most honest portrayal of teenagers (especially at that time) in فلمیں there has ever been which revolutionized the teen drama.

I'm also doing my A2 film courework on John Hughes, maybe you'd be able to help me out? My سوال is:
To what extent did John Hughes's films shape a generation?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated thankyou! :)
