The Hunger Games Article: Hunger Games rant

Although Hunger Games is amazingly good, and I encourage everyone to watch/read it and like it, there are a lot of things that annoy me.
For example, it is only natural to ask if آپ are on Team Peeta یا Gale, but now it is getting a bit annoying. One of the main reasons I like Hunger Games is that it is nothing like Twilight. Now, everyday people are asking what team are آپ on? There shouldn't be teams! If آپ like Peeta آپ don't have to hate Gale. Katniss got Peeta in the end, but she still liked Gale. آپ can like Peeta and Gale and all the other guys in Hunger Games.
Another thing that really gets on my nerves is when people ask what district آپ would come from and people say District 12. Seriously, there was only ONE Katniss and Peeta. There were so many مزید people that died in the Hunger Games than people who survived. Plus most people die of starvation. It is really annoying. MOST PEOPLE DIE YOUNG IN DISTRICT 12! Katniss and Gale are the only people younger than 18 that can actually use a weapon!
I'm pretty sure that if آپ wouldn't volunteer for آپ friends. Younger siblings maybe, but not FRIENDS! I'm pretty sure that آپ wouldn't WIN if آپ entered the Hunger Games. I'm pretty sure آپ would die in the bloodbath. Look at Cato for instance. He volunteered. and Never came back alive. Try and be realistic people. If anyone in this age volunteered for anyone, they would pretty much running into death.
I love the Hunger Games, and anyone who likes Hunger Games is cool, but I just want everyone to know that Hunger Games experience is better when آپ actually think about it realistically, because then آپ actually realise how special it was when Katniss volunteered for her sister, practically wanting to die. But she didn't because she was the main character.

hollistergurl I totally agree with you on everything. Yeah, it's getting kind of out of hand, people starting to compare it to Twilight and everything, and I get annoyed too when people ask me about what "team" I'm on.

icuSTALKER Well I know it is realistic but I think it is okay if people can fantasize about being in the Huger Games. It can be a realistic book but people can fantasize about it. Not everyone has to be realistic and it's perfectly fine to believe :) I do agree about the teams thing. Doesn't annoy me that much but I don't want this to be Twilight :/ That's all (:

NormalcyIsDead I agree with 99.9 percent of this. Being me, I have to argue something, though. Cato, yeah, he volunteered. But, volunteering does not mean certain death. He lasted till the last three. He also trained for the Games. Wanted to go in there. He knew that he could win. And he almost did. It was only because of Katniss' skill with the bow and arrow that got him. It it wasn't for that, he probably would have won.

BedIntruder Your points are entirely valid, but they've been brought up thousands of times. I agree, but no real enlightening truth has come from this article. With the 'Team Peeta, Team Gale' crap, ever since the abomination that is the Twilight movies hit the silver screen. Yes, it's irritating, and yes it's an unfortunate event in humanity, but it's nothing new. Even if there was no Twilight (in a perfect universe), then people would still ask: 'Who do you prefer? Gale or Peeta? It's easy enough to tell the difference between Twilight and the Hunger Games, and yes, it's annoying but we need to move on. If that's people's way of being fans, well, let the fans be fans. Secondly, everyone wants to come from where the main character comes from, whatever the dire circumstances. In the early days of Harry Potter, people wanted to live with the Dursleys with Harry, solely because Harry is there. This is no different. It's idiotic for people to think like this, but it's happened dozens of times before.History repeats itself, and fandoms are no exception. Now with the volunteering. Humans are generally proud and boastful creatures, who often think the best of themselves. They think that they are good and noble, and would do anything for family, or friends. The reality is different. In the face of death, people result to cowardice usually, unless it is someone you truly love, and cannot live without. This is why Katniss volunteers. Without Prim, Katniss goes into insanity. Without Prim, she lost the will to live. People like to think that this is how they are with their family members. They want to think better of themselves. Of course, realistically the wouldn't. I know very few people, if any who would save their sister. They'd feel awful, and incredibly depressed, but their fear of death is too strong for their supposed nobility to shine through. But people will always think better of themselves, regardless of the situation. So therefore, this is really nothing new. So, as much as what you say is mostly true, it's really recycled old rants. Credit for trying, but it's been brought up too many times for me to be impressed.

TheFan2000 IKR! I HATE THE TEAM THING AND I HATE HOW EVERYONE THINKS DISTRICT TWELVE IS THE BEST JUST BECAUSE KATNISS AND PEETA COME FROM THERE! I MEAN REALITY CHECK PEOPLE DO YOU WANT TO GO TO DISTRICT TWELVE, WORK YOUR BUTT OFF IN A COAL MINE, AND SLOWLY STARVE TO DEATH?!?!?!?!?!?!?! And I absolutely DESPISE how idiots are running around going, "oh oh oh The Hunger Games is so similar to Twilight because the whole story revolves only around a stupid love triangle-" GET REAL PEOPLE! THE HUNGER GAMES HAS A BEAUTIFUL STORYLINE AND REVOLVES AROUND KATNISS AND THE IMPOSSIBLE CHOICES SHE HAS TO MAKE FOR HER OWN SURVIVAL UNDER A HARSH GOVERNMENT NOT A STUPID LOVE TRIANGLE! Oh, look, I just wrote a rant of my own! :D

lolfan88 I just don't like it being compaired to Twilight. A lot of people do say there from district 12 but my BFF says she's from 3 and I say 2. But a lot of people chosse 12.
