First off I've been a پرستار of the Monkees since I was three. I love the دکھائیں and the music. These guys were my childhood! And I still love them!
Now, for those that might not know 'Head' is a movie starring the Monkees. It was done in 1969, shortly after the series ended. What is it about? I honestly couldn't tell you. I first saw the film when I was six and even at 36 I still haven't figured it out *lol*
However, I do know that the movie was apparently made to end the group's nice and friendly image (the group's words not mine) but I don't think it worked.
Tbh, I always thought the film was a parody of their گزشتہ episodes. Think about it. Like in the film Davy is a باکسر, مکے باز and there's an episode where he's a باکسر, مکے باز as well. And there are several scenes in the فلمیں that are similar to Monkee episodes. So, for me I thought they were doing a surreal parody. Another reason I feel the movie failed to change my feelings is it's a movie, it's NOT real. They were acting. I've even seen behind the scene تصاویر where their hanging out and having fun and smiling. And شائقین know how kind and genuine they really are. And the موسیقی is so beautiful and amazing! Definitely doesn't match the movie which I think shows they tried to save the film. Plus the Monkees have stated they don't like the film which says a lot. Honestly, if the directors thought they were going to turn people off from the Monkees, obviously they failed. They're موسیقی and دکھائیں are still going strong and the movie is even a cult classic! As for me I am and always will be a Monkees fan! *mic drop!*
