Ponyboy’s Perspective
“It’s just gonna be like falling asleep, right?” (Y/N) sniffles from my lap, head resting on my shoulder.
“Yeah.” I manage to say. “But a lot better. You’re gonna be happy forever.” I say quietly.
The doctors couldn’t do anything مزید for her. They told me to take her home, she’d be مزید comfortable that way.
“I’m gonna miss you.” She whispers.
“Not as much as I’m going to miss you,” I say, hand brushing through her hair.
We were sitting on the back porch, just as the sun was setting.
“I’ll wait for you, آپ know.” She says, managing to smile.
I smile back down at her. “I know. It’s gonna be one hell of a party up there.”
“We can watch sunsets across the world,” she says.
“Yeah.” I say.
She starts to doze off.
“Wait!” I say loudly. Her eyes flash open. “I love آپ so much. آپ have no idea how much I’m going to miss you.” I hold her tighter. “I’m going to be fine though. I promise. And I can’t wait to see you. I know you’re good hands… And I just love آپ (Y/N).” The silent tears just flow.
She pulls me in for one last passionate kiss.
“I love آپ too.” She whispers.
We sit for a few minutes. She dozes off, this time I don’t say anything.
This is the last time I’d hold her with her دل beating.

It must have been about two in the morning, and the baby had been crying off and on again for hours.
“Hey baby girl, I got you. I got you.” He says, holding her up to his chest and rocking back and forth. “We’re all good. We’re all good.”
He walks around the room a few minutes, bouncing the baby up and down till she stops crying, and slowly starts to fall back asleep.
“Katherine Jane Winston,” he muttered, looking at his half asleep daughter. “You’re going to be so beautiful one day. آپ know that? I’ll do anything for you. Anything آپ need. Your daddy’s right here. And so is your big brother, and your mommy. But most of all I’m here, and I got you.” He smiles.
The baby snores softly, but he doesn’t want to put her down. He’s in love.
“Having a staring contest.” Soda says intensely.
“Umm… Ok?” آپ say.
“It’s all part of the epic battle of who gets to ask آپ out.” Steve says.
“What the hell, man!” Soda yelled, and slapped Steve’s arm.
“Owww.” Steve says, looking down to examine his arm.
“Haha yes, I win!” Soda laughs.
“Not fair man!” Steve yells.
They start going after each other.
Oh god.
