Caroline was making homework, yes homework, when someone rang the doorbell. Her mother wasn’t home, so she’d have to get up.
As soon as she opened, she wanted to close the door again, but Ronnie stuck out her foot.
“Five minutes” she said. Caroline sighed and opened the door. “What?” she asked.
“I, eh,…I want to apologize” Ronnie started. “The way I harassed you. I was going too far. I know you’re close with Tyler and I jumped into conclusions. I assumed آپ knew where he was”
“And I told آپ I didn’t” Caroline replied cold.
“Yeah, I know” Ronnie said. “That’s why I’m here. To tell آپ I’m sorry”
“Apology accepted” Caroline کہا careless. “Look, I’m a little busy, so maybe آپ can leave, already?”
“I want to make it up to you” Ronnie کہا fast before Caroline could shut the door. “Tyler and I are going to the فلمیں tonight” She looked over her shoulder as she کہا Tyler’s name. He was sitting in the car. “And we’d love it if you’d come with us”
Caroline’s mouth dropped open. “You’re asking me to be the third wheel on your date? Unbelievable” she کہا disgusted.
“I’m just trying to reach out, Caroline” Ronnie said.
“Go to hell” Caroline کہا and she slammed the door.
