I despise Stefan even more after this episode. That self righteous little prick.
I wish Damon loved someone other than Elena. He deserves better.

Damon is my favorite character of the show and he is usually my favorite from each episode. But I really didn't like him in this one...

I'm really starting to dislike Damon.

@Claricee, how is Stefan a self righteous little prick? If anyone fits that description it's Damon. I'm not willing to dismiss how terrible he acts just because he's pretty and messed up in the head at the same time :I. Honestly? He used to be my favorite character.

I think it's ridiculous people are hating on Stefan. He did what he thought was best, and clearly, he was correct in his desicion to support Elena's desicion. If he hadn't let her go, or gone on a psychotic rampage looking for her like Damon would have, they would not know half (if any) of the VITAL information they know now. Stefan made the right desicion; quit hating on him for it. You KNOW if the situation were reversed, everyone would be saying "Oh, Damon was totally right letting her go. He did what was best. Stefan was being a dumbass for trying to keep her there."

what Stefan said to Damon was out of order. he had the punch coming, and it was a hell of a punch.. wow!

^What was out of line? That Damon didn't have Elena's respect? That was completely true; if anyone was out of line in that scene, it was definitely Damon. Hell, his reaction to Elijah later in the episode was further proof of why he doesn't have Elena's respect. Stefan was willing to step up and be the better man; Damon wasn't. How can you respect a guy who acts as petty as that? Screw the fact that he was upset. Everyone gets upset. That doesn't give you the right to act like a complete dick.

UGHHH he was pretty annoying, but i felt like he shouldn't have rubbed the fact that elena thinks higher of him to damon, that was just WRONG. Damon's trying to change and Stefan just reminded Damon of why he could never reach his goal no matter how hard he tried :(

Definitely. He is officially annoying me again. With his I am better than you attitude. I agreed with him on for once letting Elena make her own choice. But it was low saying that Damon didn't have her respect. Because he does. I have not heard that she doesn't respect Damon. Damon can't help who he is in love with. Once again he is hurting and Stefan has to rub it in.

Luckily there were so many other great things in this episode like Elijah.

HATE HIM!!!!!

I usually like Stefan, but in this episode, it just made me angry. I give him kudos for letting Elena decide cuz it was the right thing to do, but I cant help but be annoyed by it either. Its just it seems that every time Damon makes progress, the rug is pulled out from under him just to show how loyal & pure Stefan is.

Stefan wasnt happy most of the episode about Elena w/ Elijah either, basically in the same frame of mind as Damon, but only changed his mind cuz a) Elijah hadnt harmed Elena & b) It can be seen as wanting to stay in her good graces, or perhaps put a show on in front of Damon, which is basically what he did. When they were fighting, Stefan was being all smug about him having Elenas respect while mocking Damons love for Elena. He rubbed it in Damons face by buttering up to Elijah when he apologized to him & about wanting to protect Elena, etc. in front of an already upset Damon.

I get y Damon was upset. He had no reason to trust Elijah, even if Elena appeared to trust him, since he knows nothing about Elijah & that he couldve had other tricks. Maybe Damon wouldve been more willing to listen if Stefan hadnt thrown that in his face & the whole thing with Elijah in the room in front of him, but no. Its how Damon is. He is so in love with Elena that he doesnt wanna take a break just to listen to anyone else. He doesnt wanna lose her. Everyone can go ahead & talk about Stefan all they want & how great he is & how hes being propped up for Elena (IMO), but thats just how I c it.

Damon pushing Andie around & others getting all pissed about it is a bit ridiculous IMO since Stefan has pushed Elena before in a fit of anger/bloodlust. They r vampires one way or another. Not bashing anyone. Just expressing my own view.

stefan as always comes out is the good guy,i'm sick and tird of that,ok so he made elena make her owen choee finally,few episodes a o he wanted to control her,he was so out of line with damon,with the whole respct thing he tottaly got what he desrved,damon he done nothing but protact elena,he stopped with the looks and with fillerting and put his feelings a side for her saftey and happines and he even stoppedtesing stefan about their relinship.

and to show how much damon how much he apprichit his help with everything he says that damon will never have her respct what a dic.

and what damon tried to do not wanting elena to spend time with eligh,is because he doesn't want to lose her,he was worried and afraied that something will happen to her

I don't even want to comment about brother's fight, it's utterly ridiculous.But I'm picking the reason for the fight.I have come in to conclusion, Stefan and Damon both deserve better than her.

Stefan had every right to say that to Damon. He was defending his love and himself. What do you expect,for him to just go and say "Oh Damon it is okay that you love MY girlfriend,here take the love of my life and I will just sit in a corner and do nothing" WELL HELL NO! You go Stefan!!!!

It annoys me that Damon thinks he has the right to control Elena and not let her make her own decisions. Also the way he treated that women, like a play thing, urgh. He's funny and cool some of the time but for the most part? Nope, he's just a bastard.

Stefan was great in this episode. He's finally standing up to Damon and hitting him back when he needs to and letting Elena do what she wants to do.

I am totally indifferent to him. He brings nothing to the show.
The witches were cool. The way they brought Klaus back. Loved it.

I absolutely love Damon in every single episode, but he annoyed the shit out of me in this episode, because he was being an absolute asshole. First of all, Elena is not a child, and if she know what she's doing, she must have a fucking reason behind it. (Pardon my French.) She's old enough to handle herself, and if Stefan trusts her, then there's no point of Damon to become all whiny about it.

Stefan was absolutely right to stop Damon, because Damon tries to be all over-efficient sometimes. He was making me quite angry because of how he thought he had absolute control over Elena, because he doesn't. Grr.

AND I actually thought he had some humanity left in him, But then he started treating that woman all weirdly, even though you could tell she was genuinely concerned about him. :/

Oh well, I still love him as a character!

I usually love Damon, he's my 4h favorite character. But I seriously wanted to punch him in that episode. And I don't understand the hate towards Stefan at all. I'm not going to repeat the reasons why I believe Stefan was absolutely right and Damon was not: a lot of comments above mine said it perfectly.

for the first time in my life I thought he acted like an ass. poor Andie, I felt sorry for her, Damon doesn't respect her at all. I'm getting tired of his obsessive love for Elena. everytime he falls in love he oversteps the boundaries of healthy love. and he annoyed me so much when he just couldn't apologize to Elijah, he's acting like a kid.
