Chapter 12
A guilty red head’s confession
“Look, I just wanted to thank you, for everything.” Cali said, not looking me in the eye. “I just… lost control, I guess.”
I nodded, hugging her. “It’ll be okay.”
She nodded and then headed off to the buses, I was about to follow until I heard a voice calling my name. I turned around, thinking it was Azerien but surprised to see America running towards me.
“Summer! There آپ are, I’ve been looking everywhere for you! Where were you? آپ weren’t at class.”
“I was just went to help Cali, who was on the لائبریری floor bawling her eyes out.” I gave her a pointed look.
America winced. “I didn’t mean to make her cry, I was just angry with the whole picture thing.”
“But didn’t she do the right thing? Wasn’t he the man who ran from that shed? Wasn’t that the noble thing to do?”
America groaned. “I just…okay, fine. That probably was the right thing to do. But, I just… kind of wanted to find the killer ourselves. The police absolutely suck at doing their work in this town. When we first saw him, I went back.”
“Did آپ find anything?” I asked, making sure my eyes were wide and innocent.
“I found some shoes, a machete, and also this map, it’s at ہوم though. I was thinking of deciphering it and catching him. But that’s not important, I just wanted to tell آپ that I’m sorry, and can آپ tell Cali I’m sorry too?”
“Why can’t آپ tell her yourself?”
“Isn’t she angry at me for being such a vitch?”
I laughed at her substitute, “no, she’s just hurt. If آپ tell her yourself she’ll be happy.”
“It’s just that, when Cali moved here, she was just so oblivious to how bad this town is. Things like this always happen, and when آپ get proof of the legendary killer, well yeah, it’s important.”
“That important to treat her like that?” I ask giving her a skeptical look.
“No, not at all,” America shook her head miserably. “I just wanted to be the hero to catch him, and I overreact over everything! I really hate myself now.”
“You and Cali were always this close?”
“Were both names of places, yeah. Cali’s my besty, we clicked when we first met, I wouldn’t trade her for anything.”
“Then why don’t آپ tell her that?”
“You know what?” America declared with a determined look in her eye. “I will.”
“So everything’s okay?”
“As long as آپ two accept my apology, yeah!” America smiled brightly.
“I’m sure Cali would accept, and I forgive you.” I smiled back at her.
We stood like that for a few سیکنڈ before we تقسیم, الگ کریں up going to our different buses. I saw America bound off to the bus where Cali went. I could just make out in the window of America grabbing the کالر of some poor freshman, yanking them off the نشست and taking her rightful place اگلے to a stunned Cali, who America pulled into a warm hug.
Smiling, I finally got on my bus, where the bus driver was giving me a dirty look. Feeling dangerous, I gave him my infamous killer glare, and was pleased to see the driver shake as I took my seat. Azerien was nowhere to be found, so I didn’t have to endure an another awkward drive ہوم with him.
It felt like forever when the bus reached home, it still felt so weird to call it that though, there’s just something so foreign about it.
Like it’ll never be home, just a place that I’m staying at, before tragedy strikes.

but now its over
and i am not going back
had my دل broken
had my dreams blown away
it only took آپ a second
to rearrange my whole day
I use to know you
but now its over
and i see that now
آپ blew me away
far from here
and i couldnt make it back
but i bet آپ knew that
I use to know
someone like you
he was friendly
but i left him behind
in the rain
in the cold
where i couldnt see him
i hope you're different
it would help
if آپ werent exactly like him
nice to know you
but i must go
and protect my soul
how nice of آپ to stop by
but please go ہوم now
I use to know you
but now im long gone
and it feels great'
to leave that burden behind
i wont see آپ again
i wont be there when آپ fall
just know that i
wont pick آپ up again

Thursday
Kyle is the worst boyfriend ever! The party ended with me in a coma. Apparently there was alcohol in my drink. I had an overdose and it almost killed me. Kyle swears he didn't do it. I want to believe him. I really want to. I know Kyle had done it because I know saw him poor something in there. At first I thought it was water یا something to make it sweeter. It wasn't water. I couldn't go to school today because they were pumping the alcohol out of my system یا something. I'm not entirely sure what happened. All I know is that for a couple if منٹ I was pronounced dead. My heartbeat soon started thumping again but I was in a coma. My parents were so worried. I thought for sure they would be dead from shock. Kyle is banned from coming near me. My dad implied that rule. My mom kept crying whenever she talked to me. All she could manage to get out of her mouth besides whimpers were muffled words. I don't think I'll be seeing Kyle for a while now.

What a change Such a dramatic change
Once I was small and ignored
Now I'm called when their bored
یا looking for a friend
To talk to till the end I use to be invisible
Now I feel invincible
They can't hurt me
Look at what I can be
This is new
Something almost true
That great feeling
Was somewhat appealing
But soon disappeared
Whenever I neared
Now I am small
No longer tall
Completely ignored
Always bored
It happened so fast Invisible in the past
Then became invincible
And immediately back to invisible
It changes everyday I don't know what to say
Maybe it won't stay the same
I'll be forever lame
