The Task
It was a foggy morning. Guardians at the grey city walls could barely see the green forest that was not so far ahead. Behind the city was great mountain that was preventing enemies from coming from behind, so they only guarded at the city gate. Suddenly a small dot appeared at the end of forest and as it was getting closer it formed into a human shape. The guardians stopped yawning and got close to the fence of grey stones.
''Is that the one king Robert called for?'' asked one of them.
''They say he has hair blue as night and fiery cat eyes.''
''Yes, I heard he's mostly in tiger یا mathajy form.'' Three guards were talking.
    ''Really?''
''Mhm, like a humanoid tiger.'' And so while they were talking the red man came in front of the great metal gate and stopped.
''I come to serve King Robert! He called for me! Let me pass!'' the man yelled loudly.
''Show us who آپ are!'' replied one of the guardians.
After that the man removed his red ڈاکو, ہڈ and lowered his, also red, scarf. His skin was very pale. He was young and had a very pretty face in shape of the letter V. He really had red cat eyes and blue spikey hair pulled back as his bangs were falling near his eyes.
''Open the gate!'' one of the guards commanded after they all took a good look at him from above.
The gate opened with loud sound and the red man headed through main سٹریٹ, گلی that lead towards قلعہ in the bottom of the grey mountain.

In the forest, about three miles outside the city, Ynar waited. Under thick brows, his eyes gleamed with the thrill of the hunt. King Robert had employed Ynar, a newcomer, to find a mythcreature for that night's feast. The problem with myths was that one could never be found unless it was looked for. Ynar knew the ways of the myths.
At the moment, he was tracking either a small dragon یا a large demon. The footprints impressed into the trail کہا at least that much to any other human. To Ynar, the tracks told the creature's whole story. After another minute, he went to fetch his current steed.
The animal, a fine stallion called Powerhoof, pranced excitedly as Ynar approached. Sheathed at his side was Scalerend, his sword.
"It's close, I'm sure of it," he told the trees. Silently, he turned Powerhoof in the direction of the tracks and rode off into the fog.

It was a pretty big and high chamber. There were columns in two lines surrounding a red carpet, and the carpet lead to something that was a little different in there. There were a few stairs leading up to the grey تخت that seemed like it grew up from the stone floor. On the تخت was a plump king in his blue uniform and golden spiky crown on his head. He was drinking red wine out of a golden goblet. When a few guards entered and bowed before the king, he immediately stopped.
“Here they are your majesty. Should we let them in?’’
“Yes, of course,’’ the king replied, pulling his black beard.
The guards moved aside from the red carpet and let two men pass. One was all in red and black bandages, who went سے طرف کی the name Anu. The other was tall and covered all in black with his mysterious raincoat, but the only difference from his dark appearance was his golden blonde hair.
“What do آپ want from us?’’ Anu asked roughly. “Your majesty.’’
“Not bowing before your king? As far as I know it’s extremely rude, even for strangers,’’ Robert کہا like he didn’t heard Anu.
“Who is this dark man? And what’s this circus all about?’’ Anu continued with questions.
“You are skilled warriors in the kingdom and since you’ve both been in dark places and are quite experienced with wilderness, I want to send آپ on a task.’’
“What kind of task?’’ suddenly a cold voice sounded from the blonde man.
“Well hello there, Nathan Kirby!’’ the king smiled. “You are supposed to go and help my royal spies with exploring the dark woods. There have been terrible reports lately; burned villages, killed peasants, their women and children also killed. I want آپ to go and stop the raids on our poor kingdom.’’
“Well it doesn’t look very poor in here,’’ Anu کہا looking around with a grumpy look.
“Anyway…’’ the king frowned ‘’You two, Anu and Nathan, will be awarded 500 golden coins each after the task is done.’’
“What if we refuse?’’ Anu frowned, looking at king.
“I don’t want to make anyone do something against their will, but if I have to…’’
“You can’t make me do shit.’’ Anu کہا with evil smile and all present in chamber looked at him. “…Your majesty,’’ Anu finished the thought.
“Should we lash him your majesty?’’ one of the guards suddenly asked.
“Not necessary,’’ the king replied, still looking at Anu.
“It’s really not like آپ have much of a choice, Anu. Otherwise آپ can return to your poor village and your old pitiful life.’’
“Fine!’’ Anu turned and started walking towards the exit ‘’Let’s see how many people آپ can get that came out of the dark woods alive.’’
“If that man is not going, then count me out too,’’ Nathan کہا and the king looked at him with a surprised look.
“If it’s that deadly, then we need to be extra careful. So, I’m not going either.’’
“Fine!’’ the king کہا and the two guards at the exit lowered their spears to stop Anu.
“I know آپ will send some of your men with us, your majesty.’’ Anu turned back, talking to the king, “I want آپ to give them a lot of supplies of food and drink, because if we encounter a lot of barbarians out there I want to be ready to trade with something یا at least die in style, eating like an emperor. And آپ will pay us 700 golden coins if we return. I won’t go breaking my neck for just 500 coins.’’
    “Deal.’’ king agreed.
“How many men are going with us?’’ Nathan asked.
    “20.,” the king replied.
“They are all dead men,’’ Anu کہا and again started walking towards the exit.
“Now if آپ don’t mind, Nathan and Anu…You’re both invited for the special feast tonight at the castle. It will be a great festivity here. Sure there will be a lot of food, drinks, amusement and company for both of you.’’ The king was smiling.
The guards removed their spears from the exit, but Anu stopped anyway.
“Ahh…I got your attention? Maybe we could still arrange something about the price of the task then?’’ King Robert smiled even wider.
“I couldn’t care less about the damn party,’’ Anu responded with his cold voice, not even turning around and walked off.

The dragon had fed recently. Ynar could see charred bones around the clearing. Judging سے طرف کی the size, a few peasants had been taken. Powerhoof was anxious. The smell of brimstone was everywhere. This was most certainly a young dragon. Ynar smiled at the thought off the fortune he'd receive for capturing the creature.
Not many knew the woods out this far. Only skilled hunters dared probe its darkest depths. As a myth-hunter, Ynar had to be good. It took a great amount of skill to catch a myth. King Robert might even invite Ynar to stay in the kingdom.
That prospect did not appeal to him. He liked the stillness of the forest, the purity of the wild places. Towns were simply much too crowded.
Musing on whether to take up the king's offer, Ynar checked the tracks again. It bothered him that the dragon was traveling on foot. It might even be hurt. Not wanting to be caught سے طرف کی surprise, Ynar drew his sword and steered Powerhoof down the trail, deeper into the forest.
Suddenly, as Ynar and Powerhoof was trailing slowly down the forest eying anything that could give them clues as to where the creature may be, they heard someone calling from in the bushes of the forest...."Um excuse, me...hey. Yeah I was trying to make camp here in the forest for a while and I saw آپ guys here, I didn't think much about it آپ seem to come around very often, آپ seem as though آپ are looking for something."
Ynar reined in Powerhoof. "Who are you?" he asked. He wasn't really used to humans, after all, he was a myth-hunter. From his پرچ on the fine horse, he could tell that this might be one of the dragon's victims. Her clothes were rough and tattered. Many times, Ynar had seen humans become slaves to myths. The human almost always died. He decided it was محفوظ to keep talking. "I'm a myth-hunter. At the moment, I'm looking for a small dragon. King Robert hired me to find a myth for his feast. Have آپ seen anything?"
“Uh...no but please let me come with you, I can help you, I will do as best as I can, آپ won't be disappointed....the truth is I don't really know who I am right now, I know it’s kind of strange but when I woke up here in the woods I didn't really know who I was. Maybe I can just stay with آپ for a little while until....” she swung around, just then, she heard gigantic booming noises behind the trees, the ground started to shake like a massive earthquake. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!" she screamed "I don't know what that thing is but we gotta get out a here like...NOW!" she کہا grabbing his hand and pulling his body with all her might.
Ynar stayed put. The thing that shook the ground parted the dense vegetation. A huge head came into view. It was clearly the dragon. He had spent days tracking it.
The dragon came closer. As its body came into view, Ynar noted the way it held its wing against its side. Long scars ran over its scales on that side. It limped, something he had missed from the tracks. Either way, it would be easy to subdue this myth. King Robert would be pleased.
Scalerend glowed as he pulled it from its sheath. The power of the blade was not visible to humans, but the myths knew it and feared it. Just as Ynar wanted, the dragon backed away, making a pitiful whine in its long throat. Pulling a length of rope from his pack, he made a loop and fit it over the dragon's head. The dragon, afraid of the sword, came very quietly.

Ynar led both dragon and girl back towards the city. Both had stayed quiet for most of the trip. Guards outside the gate stopped him.
"’Oo goes there?" one of them asked.
"Ynar, hunter of myths. I bring the beast your king requested," he answered, his voice calm as a forest pool.
"A'right, c'mon in. Thing sure is ugly."
"It's a dragon. Of course it's ugly," Ynar replied as they passed through the gate.

Jack turned and ran his own screams still ringing in his ears. He manged to find an empty classroom in which he collapsed against the door.
He must have been imagining it there is no way Mr Thompson is dead? His body was slumped in the chair, blood trickling down his face and his ghost was sitting on ڈیسک staring at the door a pale grey." JAAAAAACK!" an unearthly shriek sounded through the air. Jack ran to the window and tried to open it but it was locked. CRASH the door flew of the hinges and Mr Thompson entered.
Jack ran through the door straight under the ghost and sprinted down the corridor. He finally reached the exit, he wrenched on the door as hard as his strength would allow but it wouldn't budge. he could see out of the corner of the eye Mr Thompson gliding down the corridor looking in each classroom. Quickly and quietly Jack slid behind a chair in reception. "AGRHHHHHHHH!"
something had grabbed jack round the neck

Could آپ leave everyone behind for an unknown country? Fighting for your life and the freedom of others.

Could آپ train with fellow soldiers, have the will to push ahead? Through snow, rain, and mud; everything against you.

Could آپ stay strong as men fell around you? Bleeding, crying, dying in one anothers arms.

Could آپ carry wounded fighters missing limbs and crying in pain? Pushed past the breaking point never to return again.

Could آپ run headlong into gun آگ کے, آگ as it picks off all of your friends?

Could آپ kill another soldier forced to fight for his country? With a family back ہوم hoping...

I turned away from Ryker. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw ہلکی پیلے, گڑگڑانا Elliot smiling at him.
I liked Fawn—at least what I know about her, which isn’t that much. But we did a science project together, so I’ve talked to her.
She seems nice. Well, she doesn’t talk much, but she has a handful of دوستوں who she wouldn’t dream of leaving. She’s kept some of them since kindergarten.

My name is Clarissa. Today, our neighbors suddenly moved out, and warned us of the new neighbors moving in. Something like, "Killer. Devil. Wizard." I stood frozen in the yard for what seemed like eternity, holding that piece of fabric. Could Brett have been taken سے طرف کی the wolves? I couldn't shake the image of Brett being dragged away سے طرف کی those beasts. I went back in the house and texted his cell. “Hey, u home? Where'd u go this morn?” I closed my phone and placed it on the table. The clock کہا it was only 7:00pm so I made a sandwich, mom had finally gone shopping, and sat in the باورچی خانے, باورچی خانہ listening to the wind howl. I was enjoying the peace, when my phone rang. I jumped off the chair I was seated on and ran to the living room. I scooped...
