Chapter 10: And then there was one

My world seemed to be falling apart at the seams. All we knew is that there were at least 23 wolfes, and 19 of us. If only they'd let me fight... But Billy says he may be able to reason with them; a favour for a favour. I doubted that though. At this point i was never alone. I felt like how i was when i was little, always being supervised no freedom. But i guess this was better then facing death. There really was going to be a fight.. there really might be lifes lost.

"..And no funny buisnuess this time, alright?" I heard my mothers voice chime.

"Of course mother.." I turned to her "What if- what if somthing happens..."

She sat down beside me. My cozy livingroom suddenly felt cold;

"Renesmee, I can't tell آپ that nothing will happen. But I can tell آپ that if somthing does, it isn't your fault."I nodded lightly, "You'll be staying with Alice and Jasper until closer to the fight. Then we'll have to figure out where your going from there, the fight is tomorow so we should have some time to come up with a plan for you"

We left our little cottage house while the car drove away, I stared back at it. Wondering if i would ever return. Wondering if I would ever see anyone of my family again. Of course i knew the volturi would- Not to worry about that now though.

I tried to make myself appear as content as i could for everyone else's sake, but sometimes it was too much to bear. The thought of my family; The people i loved, cullens, quillettes, getting torn to pieces made me wince at the thought. I don't think i could quite understand the lengths of stupitidy they go to just to protect me.

How much did the Stills really know? Do they know about alice? about me? یا about what we really are? I sighed. The rain pitter pattered against the window of the car. We beared down on the house سے طرف کی noon. It was time to hide my worries as much as possible tonight. I knew alice was very animated about sleepovers, especially when she got to play dress-up with me. But if i let her have her fun that will be only a small fraction i can give back for her (stupidly) risking her life for me.

"Renesmee!" I heard alice squeal from the house, about to approch me.

"Have fun!" My mother added with a smile as she drove away.

"Oh Renesmee your getting wet! come on inside." She کہا practicly dragging me into the house.

I walked inside the house with alice. Suddenly the place i knew so well; my other home, felt empty. Not because of the lack of people but the thought that it may always stand this empty. I shook off the feeling hoping to be able to put on a دکھائیں for alice and jasper.

I decided to go into a haze during the Hair doing, nail painting, dressing and cheesy movie mode that alice goes through throughout the night. Finaly it was over, for now. I would never tell her it bothered me, i couldn't! So i let her have her fun as long as i can.

I was pretty good at deciving though, Jasper detected nothing, was i really here to be watched یا to be calmed down? If so it's not really helping much. But i couldn't worry myself now, anyway jasper would most likely stop that in it's tracks. I sighed.

"Isn't this fun!" Alice's voice rang

I put on a smile "Of course!"

We were sitting on the سوفی, لٹانا now, taking a break for once. I mean im only human..well sort of. She was mindlessly flicking through the channels while jasper was on the phone with my father? یا maybe it was emmette he shut the phone and sat beside alice.

"I'll be right back!" i heard alice exclaim excitedly. i couldn't wait to see what she had planned for me..

I Started to think about tomorow; worry rather. There had to be something i could do. I wouldn't be able to sit there in an unfimilair place waiting for them. Waiting to see if thier alive or-.
I saw Jaspers neck snap up;"Renesmee, there is nothing to worry about..." He کہا comfortingly.

I bit my lip lightly,"Jasper, are آپ sure there is nothing i could do?"

He smiled "Renesmee, even if there was-"

"I know i know, آپ couldn't tell me." I کہا
fimiliar with the answer.

"Wolves are very unpredictable, آپ see. We couldn't chance anything.."

"So آپ expect me to sit there, and just wait?"

"Well, yes actualy."

I sighed. I guess there was no way to convince anyone to let me go. Alice came skipping back in the room,

"Okay renesmee, were going shopping!"

"..Alice do آپ really think that's محفوظ to have her out in the open? Im sure Edward یا Bella wouldn't be too pleased with the idea.." Jasper stated

She pouted and sat down "Oh jasper, آپ ruin all my fun!"

"Of course i do" He کہا hugging her. I looked at the clock; it was about 8 but i felt like going to بستر early. I did have a long دن of worry and i knew i wouldn't get much sleep tonight.

"Im going to get some sleep, goodnight" I کہا while heading upstairs

"Already?" She asked a bit dissapointed

"I've got a big دن tomorow" I کہا smiling

"I guess your right.. well have a good sleep then!"

"Thanks"

I followed up the large staircase and went into my fathers old room. There a بستر stood, I carefully changed into my nightgown and slipped under the covers.

I felt a sudden cold breeze flash softly across my face. I carefully stood up and closed the large windows. The dark night sky was lit up سے طرف کی the glowing moon it shone just right of the river.I could hear the sound of crickets as the cool air carefully pooled against me and into the room, I then closed the window but not before taking a moment to appreciate the stillness of the night.
