Carlisle took a blood test, but I had to bite my own hand so the needle could get through. I was curiously fascinated. I'd never seen my own blood before. It looked pretty normal, considering I was half vampire.

When I left his study, Carlisle was looking ecstatic. Jacob hadn't کہا a word the entire time we were in there, he was visibly relieved when my hand had healed over so quickly, before Carlisle had even tried to bandage it up. I looked down at it, now it was white.
Rosalie and my dad were glaring at one another from their opposite positions in the living room.
I mentally asked my dad what was going on he just shook his head, and stared pointedly at Jacob.
