I paced back and forth of my bedroom. Waiting for the phone to ring. Alex haden't called me since our little 'Chat' . I couldn't help but wonder if he was mad at me. Austin was only a friend...at the moment. He won't wait for me for long. And whats the point of having a long-distance relationship if آپ never see each other. I sighed and walked over to my phone. I sat on my بستر and held my silver and black phone in my hands. I flipped it open. I knew there wasen't going to be anything on the screen except my picture of Amanda,Kelsey, and I in شٹر shades and backward ایوارڈز on at the mall. I missed them. It was sunday night. School was tomorrow. Ugh. I didn't want to think of the tragic دن tomorrow will be. I've never been the new girl who comes in the middle of the year. Well almost. Maybe I could try out for cheerleading. I think that may Introduce my personality to the school. I wonder if there would be any body else like me.
''Hey. Your supposed to be in bed. آپ have school in the morning. And آپ have to take this bus. I have a job interview, so I can't take you.'' My mom کہا with her head creeked in the door.
''The bus?'' I asked.
''Yeah. آپ know the long yellow lemo.'' She کہا sarcasticly. Then he continued...
''Ashley your not to good to ride the bus. Maybe you'll make a friend یا two. Who knows.''
I laughed. ''I know I'm not to good for the bus. I just don't know where the stop is.''
''Why don't آپ call Austin and find out.''
''Kay.'' I کہا picking up my phone.
She left the room. Not only would I have to go to school but I'd have to take the bus. I'd be okay with it if I knew where the stop was.
I dialed Austin's number. I waiting impatiently as the phone rang.
''Talk to me.'' He said.
''Hey Austin it's Ashley. I wanted to know if آپ knew where the bus stop was?''
''Uh yeah. I'll come سے طرف کی and pick آپ up and walk آپ there in the morning. 6:oo a.m. sharp.''
''Whoa 6:oo A.M.?!'' I exclaimed. At my old school we'd go to school at 9:00.
''Haha. Yep 6:00 a.m. what time did your old school start?''
''9:00.''
''Dang. I better get to sleep if I were you.''
I could hear his laughter on the other line.
'' Har har.'' I کہا sarcasticly.
''Oh..uh..by the way...have آپ talked to your boyfriend?'' He asked hesitating.
''Uh..no..he hasen't called me. I'll call him in the morning though. Promise.''
''Kay....Well آپ better hit the sack...Goodnight.''
''Goodnight.'' He hung up the phone. I pulled my زیبرا comforter over my shoulders and went to bed. I'd have a big دن tomorrow.
I stood alone in a black room. یا what I guessed was a room. There was like...a spotlight on me. I sqinted my eyes as I looked up and in the light. Then I looked down letting my eyes adjust. The black rose was lieing before My feet. I bent over and picked it up. I lifted it to my nose and took in a wiff of the black beauty's aroma. It smelled like Everything good. I thought of دودھ chocolate,daisys,caramel,vanilla,spring fragrance,but nothing quite fit the aroma of the flower. I turned around. There was nothing around me. Then a one single spotlight came on on my left...then to the right. Alex stepped into the spotlight on the left. And Austin suddenly stepped into the one on my right. Austin looked me. He turned the opposite direction and held out his arms like he was in front of a orchestra. Then it was like wonderland on his side. I was in the middle like a dividing line. Green گھاس grew on his side and stopped in a single line. Then I realized I was the dividing line. It was like half the room was black. And the other was filled with bright colors and flowers that were my height. My hair blew behind my shoulders from the wind on one side. I turned to alex. He was facing the other direction aswell. I waited but nothing happened. And then it was like a huge screen on the walls on his side. Our times together played. Our walk in the park from the fall,us ice skating in winter. And then me cheerleading at one of his football games. They both turned toward me.
Suddenly they were both at my side. With their arms held out for me. Then when I was about to lift my hand...It all went black again...
My alarm clock beaped over and over again. I pressed my finger tiredly over the button. I didn't want to get up. I was afraid of the دن ahead. Luckly I'd met Austin. So I'm kinda ahead. I already have one friend. I tryed to shake the dream off. I got up. I could feel the cold hardwood floors below my feet. I opened the door and walked out of my room. I met my mom just coming out of her room.
''Good morning.'' She said, she looked half asleep.
''Morning. Uh, towels?'' I asked.
She point at a door inbetween her's, and the bathroom.
''Thanks.'' I walked over to the door. I quickly scanned the shelves for towels. Sheets,extra blankets,then towels. I sighed, then grabbed a towel and went into the bathroom. I ran the water. I took off my شرٹ, قمیض and pants. It was freezing. I quickly jumped in the shower. I let the hot water run through my scalp,and down my back. The longer I standed there the less the water felt hot. I gave up and got out. I wrapped the towel around me like a dress. I rushed into my bedroom, and checked my phone. It was 5:04 a.m.
I still couldn't believe I had to wake up at 4:45 in the morning. At least tomorrow I'll have to wake up at 4:50 a.m. I dug through my dresser, untill I found a faded ''Like a freakin rock star'' Grey shirt. I slipped it on with my dark grey torn, skinny jeans. I found a pair of low rise converse I could wear. I remember Amanda and Kelsey writing ''Sup'' and ''Kelsey was here'' and ''2KL4SKL'' I laughed at myself as I remembered. I walked across the room to get my backpack, and set it سے طرف کی my nightstand. I grabbed my conpacked mirror and makeup bag and headed for the bathroom. I put my makeup on quickly so I could eat breakfast. Then I remembered that I promised Austin I would call Alex. I immediantly walked over to my phone to call him. I waited as the phone rang. I got his voicemail.I closed my phone without leaving one.
As soon as I was done I went down stairs to eat. My mom was sitting and drinking coffee.
''Are آپ sure آپ have to get up at 4:45 am?''
''Yes. I'm a girl it takes longer to get ready than boys.'' I smiled.
''Oh do آپ need money?''
''Two dollars for lunch.'' I کہا as she handed me a $5.
''Thanks.'' I sat down and picked up an سیب, ایپل from the fruit bowl sitting in the middle of our dining table. Then the door rang. I picked up my bag and walked around the میز, جدول and gave my mom a kiss on the cheek. I rushed to the door. When I opened it Austin stood there in his worn out jeans and a مالٹا, نارنگی T-shirt. His backpack slung on his right shoulder.
''Well hi there.'' He کہا with a smile.
''Hey...Bye mom!'' I called over my shoulder as I closed the door.
''Good, آپ didnt bring a jacket. The heat is blistering in the afternoons. It will just be a pain in the butt to carry it aruond.''
We both laughed.
''Yeah. At my old school some days I wold just leave it at home.''
''Including your old school-''
I knew what he was going to say...
''Did آپ call Alex?'' He choked out the last word.
''Uh, no. I did call him. I got his voicemail. He was probably sleeping.'' I put my head down.
''Do آپ think ya'll are still going out?''
''No. I answered honestly. I really didn't. Knowing Alex he'll probably have another girlfriend سے طرف کی the end of the day.
''Oh...'' He almost mumbled. A warm breeze blew my hair out of my face. I looked over, it blew his out of his face too...highlighting his eyes.
''I wish we had breezing like that at my old house...would've been outside everyday just to feel it.'' I کہا staring away.
''Yeah...I guess آپ don't get breezes like that just anywhere.'' He کہا looking at me. I didn't see him but I could feel his eyes on me.
''There's the guys...'' He asid pointing to a group of boys. They looked our age. All wearing jeans and dark colored T-shirt. Some noticed Austin and I walking up. They eyed me up and down seeming pleased. This is gonna be a long day. I thought to myself.
''Hey bro.'' An approaching boy walking up said.
''Sup.'' Austin replyed. I looked down.
''This is Ashley. Ashley this is Taylor...'' Austin introduced us.
''Ashley...huh...I'm guessing your new...I know I would've noticed آپ before.'' He smiled at me. He had black hair,milky brown eyes,and extremely light tan skin.
''Uh..yeah. I just moved here.'' I کہا to him flipping my hair out of my face.
''From where?''
''Memphis.''
''Tennessee?''
''Is there another one?''
''In egypt.'' I laughed at his response.
Austin gave Taylor a look. Taylor smirked at him and walked away. Austin and I stood there on the bus stop while the other guys threw a football back and forth. I was suprised that there wasen't any other girls but me on the bus stop.
''I think Taylor likes آپ مزید than he should.'' Austin کہا smiling playfully.
Before I could respond the football hit Austin in the shoulder. He picked it up and made a perfect throw back, then turned back around.
''Nice throw...I bet if آپ tryed out for the football team that would come in handy.'' I smiled at him.
He smiled back. Then his hand was in mine. Twined together. We were holding hands...and it was really nice. I got all warm. When I held hands with Alex he would always be with his buddies and just دکھانا out. But we were basicly alone now. The people behind us couldn't even hear us. Then the bus came. I took a deep breath for th دن ahead....
