I remember visiting this website once...
It was called 'Under the Dome': (Spoiler) talks her surprise exit | Inside TV | EW.com
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
\'Under the Dome\': (Spoiler) talks surprise exit
on CBS, you discovered that not one but two characters met their maker in the episode. EW talked to one of the dearly departed actors about the surprise death — and who (or what) may have been responsible.
But first, SPOILER ALERT! Stop here if you haven’t seen the episode.
Her death was actually expected to occur in the first season!
So Britt Robertson, who plays Angie McAlister, was pleasantly surprised to learn that her character would survive for at least the season 2 premiere. “I only signed for 10 episodes last season so I always assumed I would die in episode 10,” Robertson tells EW. “It was so great that I got to stay a little longer. It’s a great way to go out, especially after Stephen King wrote the episode.”
“Natalie Martinez [who plays Sheriff Linda Esquivel, who also died in tonight\'s episode] told me via voicemail. I didn’t really understand it at the time. She just said, ‘Hey, I heard you were dying, too! Let’s grab a drink!’ I didn’t take it seriously because I thought it was Natalie being Natalie, saying something random and out of context. Then I found out later when I was reading the script that yeah, I was actually dying.”
Look back on that first season. Can you talk about your character’s journey?
“During the first six episodes it was kind of a struggle. I was fighting to live and to get through the experience of being in the fallout shelter. Once I was able to get out, I had this hot-headed behavior and all I wanted to do was to seek vengeance and find a way to make things right. I felt so wronged by the situation. By the end I do believe she had a little bit of an invincible mentality. That could be what got her killed.”
Talk about that sequence in tonight’s episode when you’re in that kitchen and the utensils are flying across the room.
“That whole sequence was directed by Jack Bender. He’s really incredible. They rigged every single object they wanted to fly. Not one hit me! The only time that I think any of us got hurt was when we were first rehearsing the scene. Those pots went flying and I almost didn’t see them. I was in the very back of the line of people and they were blocking my view of the pots. They ducked down and it was in front of my face before I was able to duck really quickly. It came so fast, I slipped and fell on my butt. Nothing dramatic or tragic happened. Just me being short and stupid.”
“I don’t know. I know it’s not Junior. There’s no way he killed me unless the alien was controlling him. I don’t think it was Melanie. She was the last person you saw but how could it be her? I think it has to be something someone we don’t expect and just don’t know.”
Do you have a theory on who or what dropped the dome over the town?
“I don’t even know, but at this point we have to believe that it’s some sort of alien experiment type of scenario.”
[opposite Scott Eastwood], which is based on the Nicholas Sparks novel [out next April]. I do fall in love … I have multiple loves!”
