Knowing that it would set a more welcoming environment for my lunch guests I made my way from window to window pulling open the blinds. Finally after slipping on my stilettos and sexiest pair of sun glasses I left my home feeling vivacious and confident. The drive into the city seemed to take twice as long as usual and it didn’t help that my canines refused to stay retracted. Each time I replayed my plan in my head my fangs extended in anticipation of the blood that was soon to flow through them. At last, Montreal surrounded me. Pulling into the nearest parking space I gathered my bags of fake party supplies and stepped out of my SUV. Once I had walked a couple blocks from my vehicle I decided not to waste any more time and put my plan into action. Purposely dropping my purse I allowed all the contents to spill out as my first prey walked by. “Excuse me miss but I believe this belongs to you.” My first meal spoke in a rich voice as he reached over and passed my lipstick. As our hands met the pulse of his blood flowing through his figure tips sent a sharp pain of hunger through my body. Straightening my skirt I regained control of my hunger and forced my canines back. “Oh Thanky, That’s my favorite lipstick. There are not many places left that sell the Cherry Red any more. You just saved me hours of shopping.” Licking my lips I smiled and reached for his hand as I introduced myself. “I’m Kyra and may I ask who my knight in shining armor is?” His warm palm pressed against mine as he tried to gather his voice. “I’m, I’m Shawn.” “Very nice to meet you Shawn, I know you have already done me a great favor but would it be too much to ask for one more?” “Yes, I mean no, I mean yes I have spare time what could I help you with?” Oddly the tremble in his voice I once would have thought of as a weakness awakened a desire in me to be kind to him. “Well, Shawn I’m over loaded with party supplies here and would really appreciate a couple of extra hands.” His chuckle filled the air and somehow touched my lifeless heart, “I’m sorry that is quite the obvious problem, I’m just a little slow today I suppose.” Stepping close enough for me to smell the sweet fragrance of his manhood he gently gathered all the bags from my arms. As his scent surrounded me I found myself in a state of confusion, leaving me completely at his mercy. It was as though time had frozen and all I could do was stand and stare. For the first time since I could remember I was craving the man and not the blood.
