I strode into the museum, Eagle and شیرنی, سنگھنی beside me. I cracked my knuckles as we entered the Mineral exhibit.
“Simple grab-and-go girls. Pick want آپ want, leave what آپ don’t, and kill anyone who gets in your way” The Shadow’s had ordered. I found a dazzling ہار made purely from سونا and rubies. I saw Eagle grab a large sky blue opal and شیرنی, سنگھنی pick a topaz that matched her mane like hair. We waltzed out. Suddenly, a red and yellow blur ran by. I looked at my hands and realized the ہار was gone. شیرنی, سنگھنی growled and slipped the topaz into her mouth, careful not to نگلنا it. She pulled out her whip. Eagle took to the sky with her opal. I heard the cry of an eagle and knew she had gone undercover. I pulled a small pellet full of glue out and threw it at the ground. The blur ran right through it, his feet getting caught. I grinned and walked up to him. I snatched the ہار back and put it in my utility belt. شیرنی, سنگھنی walked over to him. She snarled at him, her sharp teeth glinting in the moonlight. She put her claws to his throat.
“Don’t” I shook my head. The boy smiled and winked at me.
“Don’t get cocky, boy. Just because I told her not to tear out your throat doesn’t mean I won’t” I growled. I ran off, right into a bulky teen.
“Going somewhere?” he asked
“Yeah. Actually, I am” I grinned and slashed at his chest with my claws. He blinked, then looked down at his shredded shirt. With a feral snarl, I turned into a vixen ہے, وساان and ran off, followed سے طرف کی شیرنی, سنگھنی and Eagle.
‘You girls okay?’ I thought
‘Yup’ Eagle کہا cheerfully
‘Not a single hair out of place’ شیرنی, سنگھنی thought
‘Good. The Light isn’t going to be happy, though. We didn’t kill them. Now we have witnesses’ I thought grimly. We returned to The Shadow’s HQ. I bowed before Ra's al Ghul.
“Master, I-“ I started
“I am very disappointed in آپ Vixen. آپ girls are the best of the Best. Why didn’t آپ kill the heroes?” he demanded, cutting me off.
“Okay, one, don’t cut me off. Two, Stop pointing out what went wrong and start pointing out what went right. And three, if we’re so good, then why doesn’t The Light know we exist? یا are آپ keeping us your little secret, like آپ are our genetic enhancements?!” I exclaimed. I never liked Ra’s. He was always so bossy and stuck up and ‘I’m Ra’s al Ghul, bow down before me! If آپ don’t, I’ll get my slaves to kill you!’ and it was really testing my nerves.
‘Vixen! What are آپ doing?’ شیرنی, سنگھنی demanded
‘Taking a stand for once in my pitiful life’ I thought back
“Don’t آپ dare talk to me that way, young lady” he snarled
“No! I’m not finished! آپ and the rest of the League are always bossing us around, like we’re your little pawns in a game of chess. Well, no more. I quit” I yelled. شیرنی, سنگھنی and Eagle looked at me, then each other.
“We quit too” they کہا at the same time. The three of us stood together. We walked out the door. I decided on leaving Ra’s a little good bye present. I walked around the base, planting bombs every fifty feet. When I had covered the whole base, I ran outside and jumped into the motor کشتی شیرنی, سنگھنی and Eagle had prepped. When we had gotten twenty meters away, I pressed the trigger, blowing the building to pieces.
“Remind me to never get on your nerves” شیرنی, سنگھنی muttered. Eagle laughed.
“So, where to, Captain?” Eagle asked
“I really don’t know” I shrugged
“I know an abandoned mountain in Happy Harbor we could hide in” شیرنی, سنگھنی suggested
“How did آپ come across that?” I laughed
“I’m a traveler. What do آپ expect?” she grinned as we sped toward Happy Harbor.
“Do we have a radio on this thing?” Eagle asked, fumbling with the knobs on the dashboard. Suddenly, the song ‘Highway to Hell’ سے طرف کی AC/DC blasted from the speakers. We all jumped then grinned at each other. This song fit the moment pretty well.
