^EXACTLY. Damon is just worried about her & trying to protect her so he is considering if Elijah is actually trustworthy یا not..thats the right thing to do OFC he will have trust issues with him. Whereas Stefan didn't even think about it he just heard the words roll off Elena's tongue and he was like Yeah course sorry without hesitation, he didn't at all consider Elena he just awnted to look like the good guy سے طرف کی agreeing with her how sad can he get. I wouldn't say that Damon was childish he was clearly struggling with alot of his own emotions which he doesn't really know how to deal with & Stefan did nothing but trigger them off in a harsh way. Damon didn't even have a chance to speak to Elijah at first Stefan just went straight in there. Damon has been hurt سے طرف کی peoples words continuously, this episode was no exception, It really doesn't help that Damon feels as though he has no one on his side & ppl just choose to see & pin-point him as the bad guy in every situation & he has to watch while Stefan who has continued to be selfish take all of the credit for what hes trying to build just because he's trying to protect Elena.
