It was silent the rest of the day, no sight یا smell of Humphrey یا Eve. But Kate was still on edge of the events that had taken place just hours before. Winston and Hutch were trying to figure out how to survive this infection. Out of no where, Cando came running into the den.
Cando:"Sir! they have spotted Eve!!
Winston:"What?!"
Cando:"They have spotted her coming this way!"
Winston:"Is she infect-."
Suddenly, crys of pain and suffering were heard just out of the den. Winston Immediately ran out followed سے طرف کی Kate. They did not believe what they saw....Eve. She was feeding on another بھیڑیا of the pack! Lilly walked outside and ran towards Eve when she saw her.
Lilly:"Mom! Mom!
Winston Tried to stop her, but he was to old to be fast enough. Lilly stopped a couple feet from Eve.
Lilly:"Mom! I'm so glad آپ ar-"
That is when Lilly saw the scars and gashes covering her body. Eve faced Lilly, reveling her glowing yellow eyes. Eve growled and started to walk towards Lilly.
Lilly:" Oh no!
Lilly Started to run as fast as she could to the den, but Eve was much faster and tackled Lilly down, which caused her to break a rib. Lilly screamed in pain and held her hurt side with her paw. But Eve Quickly killed her and started to feed. Watching from the opening of the den, Kate started to run to save Lilly, But Winston stopped her and held her back. Kate started to scream to Lilly.
Kate:"Lilly! No!! Lilly!
Winston:"It's no use Kate, She is Gone. We can't do anything. Eve heard Kate screaming and turned her attention to them! Eve stared in their direction.
Kate:"What now?" She کہا softly
Winston:"Run." he whispered
They Quickly darted off and ran until they reached a high piece of ground. Kate started to scan the valley.
Winston:"See anything?"
Kate:"No, nothing."
Kate watched for another منٹ یا too before she stopped and started to tear up. Winston saw this and started to comfort her.
Winston:"It's Okay sweetie, we will be fine."
Kate:"What about Lilly?"
Winston paused.
Winston:"We can't do anything to help her, nor can we do anything for Eve. What has happened has happened and we can't change that.....I'm sorry Kate."
Kate then heard a faint Voice in the distance. Kate could barely make it out but she finally did...it was Hutch!! Hutch came running up and informed Winston that the مزید than half the pack was infected now!
Winston:"Is anybody else still alive?"
Hutch:"Not that I know of."
Winston:"Okay, Keep an eye out."

Hutch walked over to the look out point, but as he walked Kate noticed that he was limping.
Kate walked over to her father.
Kate:"Hey dad, I think Hutch is injured."
Winston:"What makes آپ think that?"
Kate:"look at how he walks, he limps when he walks."
Winston:"Okay, Hutch come here."
Hutch Walked over, and Winston too saw he was limping.
Hutch:"Yes Sir."
Winston:"Are آپ injured?"
Hutch:"I just got scratched سے طرف کی one of them, it's nothing."
Suddenly, Hutch collapsed and was out cold.
Kate:"Hutch? آپ Okay?"
No Answer. Suddenly, Hutch's eyes opened...The glowing yellow eyes where showing. Kate,out of reflex, jumped on his back and bit him on the neck, severing his spinal cord. Hutch was limp and not moving.
Winston:"If they are spreading this far out, we need to move!"
So Kate and Winston Ran and found a ماند, خلوت خانہ to sleep in. The dark of night had fallen and Kate and Winston fell asleep in the den.
