We howled all night. 'I hope my dad isn't howling tonight, because if he finds me, I'm dead,' I thought. Finally, the howl ended and the wolves started leaving. I felt awkward. I couldn't tell Humphrey that he was amazing; it would give him the wrong idea. Maybe I did like him, but not enough to break the entire social anarchy of both the Western and Eastern packs.
Humphrey was staring at the moon and had a look on his face that made me feel bad that I couldn't tell him my feelings. He seemed to have other things on his mind. Suddenly, he changed his expression to a sly one and he cocked an eyebrow. He grinned and looked in my eyes. I sharply turned my head and looked away. I figured he knew how I felt, and was using it to his advantage.
He tried to look at my face, "What's wrong?" I guess he hadn't known, and I was happy about that. "Oh, nothing. I just hope my parents aren't out here so they did see that," I replied. I had just looked up and lied to his face, and I felt really guilty for it. "Alright. So.." he paused, "what did-"

"Goodni-" she started to say and fell asleep. I laughed quietly. "Night, Liz." Soon after, I was already sleeping.
