For all the people who want a happy مضمون about Christmas, I'm sorry to let آپ down, and maybe I'm a little pessimistic but now I'm getting older this is how I think about Christmas:
Five years پہلے (I was nine) I was sitting in my aunts car on Christmas Eve, and we were talking about a tv دکھائیں in Holland called 'all آپ need is love'
I don't know if آپ know, یا have the دکھائیں in America but the tv دکھائیں is about people who get unexpected visits from people that they love, and then, for one night, they can forget all their problems and enjoy Chrismas Eve together. I thought that it was a silly show, they have a great day, but when the great دن is over, they still have their problems.
My aunt (who was married to my uncle) thought that it was a great دکھائیں and she was saying things like 'all آپ need is love' and 'I'm so glad that I've found realy love'
A couple months later, my uncle got a new girlfriend and my uncle and aunt got divorced.
I'm thinking about this now, because my uncle is coming, today, for Christmas, to have رات کے کھانے, شام کا کھانا with us, but I know that my aunt (and the two children that my uncle and my aunt have) is still sad and that she will have a lousy Christmas.
And that brings me to my problem: how can آپ be happy at Christmas while آپ know that a lot of people are sad. Everyone is happy at Christmas, people say but آپ know that that is not true.
A lot of people pretend that they are having fun with Christmas and that they are happy. But آپ know that after the 'happy days' like Christmas and New سال they're still unhappy, just like they were during Christmas and New Year. No stupid holiday can change that.
Maybe I thought about this way to much, and I know that آپ are suppose to enjoy Christmas and that آپ are suppose to have fun. And I think that I will try to be happy, but, tonight, when I'm sitting at the میز, جدول during the Christmas dinner, while my uncle and his new girlfriend are making jokes,I will think about my aunt and her two kids who will pretend that they have a 'great' Christmas.
P.S: This is my first soapbox article, and my English is not so good, I've tried to make no mistakes in the grammar, but I'm shure that there are lot of mistakes, sorry.
P.P.S: Merry Christmas to everyone!
