I figured Snape would be a good guy in the first book once it was revealed that he was trying to counter whatever was being done to Harry's broom during the Quiddich game.
I figured Harry and Ginny would be together when it was said she had a huge crush on him, again in the first book.
I also figured Ron and Hermione would be together in the first book, I forget why.
I knew a lot about Twilight before I began reading it, but that's because it was 2009 and there were spoilers everywhere.
Plus, I don't think Harry Potter was predictable. I did guess Snape would be good and the Ron/Hermione thing, I also guessed Voldemort would be defeated and Harry would come close to death but I guess the last one was just everyone's guess, and I mean everyone had their own theory. I don't think she "foreshadows" at all, I just think she uses those things called hints in her books.
There were only a couple things that I knew before the end of the series: Severus was a good guy, he was in love with Lily, and Ron/Hermione.
Anyways, yeah in it's own way HP was predictable, but really hands down Twilight was the most predictable book I've ever read...
fail
Edward is a vampire, Bella a human, they fall in love.
There are also villains, who ALL try to kill Bella,
the Cullens kill them and here's one happy ending.
While HP was totally different.
I didn't know Snape was the good guy,
I didn't know a thing about the Horcruxes,
I didn't know so may people were about to die.
I didn't know the reason why Harry survived that night.
So many things JKRowling surprised me with :D
I also found the Deaths in the 7th book to be extremely random - as if she picked them out of a hat or something. The only predictable death, in my opinion, was Voldemort. And possibly Snape. I mean Hedwig? SERIOUSLY?! I predicted Sirius to make a comeback, I always believed him to be alive behind that veil. Basically, what I'm saying is that Deathly Hallows was extremely unpredictable, I honestly did not know what was going to happen.
But then again, I only started reading Harry Potter when the Goblet of Fire film was released, and I just read it. Like, I didn't predict anything, if that makes sense. The only predictions I made were for Deathly Hallows, all of which were untrue. So..
The only thing in Twilight that wasn't totally predictable was Jacob printing on Renesmee (eww). I honestly thought he would end up with Leah. They have the same upbringing and even though they fight, she was loyal to him and his pack. I never thought Jacob would go all 'omg, my soul mate!' to Nessie, especially since he 'thought' he was in love with Bella. But then again, if Quill imprinted on a 2 year old, I wasn't surprised that Jacob did the same to a newborn.
I never guessed what was going to happen in HP. To be fair, it could be because I'm young and haven't read enough books to see twists coming, but I still feel Twilight was a lot more predictable.
There's no way in hell i will predicted Mad-Eye will died (he's the best Auror!), also Sirius (sobs), Fred, Tonks, Remus, etc..
