It's not my favorite thing about the series, but I think after everything the trio went through, they deserved a normal, boring ending.

"Horrible" is a bit strong for me. I think it was really cliche and flawed in a lot of ways, but it's a pretty traditional way to show the storyworld moving on.

Why do people dislike the epilogue? I don't understand it. Please explain.

It's a simple happy ending. How is that horrible? What did the people who consider it horrible want - a tragic ending? Or are they simply calling it horrible because it stuck to the canon pairings rather than giving them their favourite fanon ones out of nowhere?
