Well, 13 hours to be exact, but i don't think that fitted under "a few hours"! :)

I have'nt finished it yet because I just bought it few hours ago, but I am thinking it's going to take me a week...

it took me 12 hours about..i draged it out as long as i didn't want it to end

Took me 9 hours because i saw Transformers in between at the cinema lol
I can't believe it took people more than a day! How could you get to sleep with all the suspense of probably the best book i have ever read! :)

took me a weekend but i only picked up the book when i wasnt doing anything.i really wanted it to last longer but when u get sucked in it u cant get iut n when u do u just wanna get back into it!

Took me 9 hours non stop, I took it all in though, more than with the previous two books, think I read a bit slower this time, didn't want to miss anything!

14-15 hours or so (tried to read slowly to soak everything in) but that doens't really fit under "a few" hours.

I took about 7 hours but I did stop for lunch ;)

took about 10 hours in total, but that was spread out over a couple of days. i had to keep taking breaks to stop crying so i could see the pages again.

The only reason it took me a weekend (Started Midnight Friday/Saturday to Midnight Sunday/Monday) was because I was busy the whole of Saturday and I only read Chapters 1-9 in the first 3 hours of Saturday then HAD to sleep to be able to do my stuff the next day. Then I finished it off on Saturday, but I managed to take breaks in the bits that didn't end in a cliffhanger but it was very gripping. It took me about 15 hours in total and I read it really slowly so that I could absorb all the information and stuff, and I guessed half the Book's secrets before they actually came out.

Less than 48 hours.

It took me like a day and a half because I was sick and slept a lot. But when I was awake I was reading

It hasn't been out for a week yet, liars! It took me two and a half days because I kept getting dragged out to do other stuff.

Brought it at 9am this morning fished it as 3pm couldn't put it down

it took me 8 and a half hours and was totally worth it!

Four days Im a bit ashamed to say but I had skool. I couldnt stop thinking about it tho when I got home yesterday I finished it. My mum made me go for a walk JUST as Ron and Hermione kissed! Such bad timing!

Got it at about 11 am on saturday and finished at 6 am on tuesday...so just under three days

Finished it finally last night at 11:20 pm an amazing book, I can't wait to see it on film

I finished reading it with my mom today. She read the last chapter aloud and I read the epilogue back together. We read it together like that to make sure we didn't rush through it because we wanted it to last and time to work things out before we got all the answers. I avoided this spot like the plague because of it.

Took me about 16 hours, I didn't actually sleep that night.

A few hours is like 3-4 hours...who reads that fast?

I would have finished it quicker but i had to shear the book with my mum and brother

But this question is being read differently by various people. I counted total time spent actually reading... not breaks in between. If we are counting time lapse between the first page and the last page, then several days. I only read a chapter or two each night before bed.

i don't think I could read that fast in a few hours, but I just read continuasly untill i fell asleep (i know i fell asleep reading harry potter... but I need sleep) then kept reading intill i finshed when i woke up.

9 hours at 12! BOOYAH!

Because one I started the book i was going to a festival! So it was about 2.. maybe 3 days

Even though i absoluty love the books,it took me a week,i wanted to read every single word. =]

my sis read all of it from 1am till 6am the night it was released!=)

I was busy on the day it came, which made things difficult. I was too scared to start as well, I wanted to be able to focus completely on it. So I didn't start reading it straight away.

im not completely sure since it was such a long time ago but i think that i read it in about 1 day

i think it was like 3 or 4 days..because i was 12 years old and the book was on English and i'm from Iceland :D ..But i went to the midnight open :P ..And i was just inside for 3-4 days reading the book =D

2 days, maybe not that much. I was reading it in english and I had a boring guy (my bf) always asking 'Has he died? Has he died?', 'cause he knew Snape dies in the last book.

2 days. We had people over the night it came out so I didn't get to finish it that day. I did the next morning.

7-8 hours, depending what you count - I got the book at midnight, started reading it in the bookshop but then had to drive 15 minutes home, and then over the course of reading, I got up to go to the bathroom and get something to drink a few times....so I finished at 8 am, but it only took about seven hours to read nonstop :)

About 2 days that was with nonstop reading!

It is not my favorite of the lot XD

I read the first half the day DH came out, and I finished it the next day. :)

How can you read a book that big in a few hours!!!!!

I only read up to the fifth book :-(
