Nope. It's fanfiction for a reason. It's all fanon so unless the character actually did that in the show,book,or movie then yes I will mostly likely hate if not dislike them. If it is in fanfiction then no.

For example:
John Winchester is hated by the fans for being an "abusive" father which is completely fanon and ONLY in fanfiction. In the actual show he's a father who tries his best for his sons. He raised them as hunters to protect them. If he hadn't well they would have died or worse.

I have a character I like who "raped" other characters in fanfics. He never raped.

I don't read fan fictions and nor do I want to do anything with them, although I admit I wrote a fan fiction in 2012 that I never finished although its not about fictional characters. That was that ONE time I ever got involved with ff. I really don't think ff should influence someone's opinions on a character because it's NOT even OC.

Nah. It's not canon, so it would be silly to hate the character over something they did in a fanfiction.

Lol, no. Why would I? Fan-fictions are alternate storylines, based on what the writer wishes to happen. When someone on the Bleach club wrote a Grimmjow X Ulquiorra fan-fiction, I didn't dislike either of those characters because of it.

(I've read a lot of fanfic where Ron is portrayed as a hot-headed, overprotective prat whom doesn't like Harry and Ginny getting together and I hate how the author views Ron that way, cause obviously Ron hadn't cared as much when HG did get together. I'm indifferent towards Ron but I really like how he just shrugged the ordeal of Harry liking his sister.)

Tbh its so annoying when an author's bias bleeds through into the writing. Granted it's their fic they can write it how they want but it's a turn off to me.
