Definitely. I've only ever bought one album from itunes, and that's because it wasn't available elsewhere. It's expensive anyway, but ON TOP of that, technology companies such as Apple seem to love charging extra to Australian consumers for no apparent reason, in what we dub the "Australia Tax". We pay on average 52% more than an American consumer for the same top 50 iTunes songs. An example I know of is an Arctic Monkeys album costing $18 here but an equivalent of $13 overseas. There isn't any explanation for this inflated price. They just like arsing us around because they can (and then complain about our high pirating rates). Hence, most of the time I refuse to buy from iTunes on principle- CDs are my first port-of-call, or the artist's website.

I only used ITunes when I first got my IPod and to be honest a dollar a song might not sound like a lot ,but after awhile it really adds up.Personally I like to use Video+ when downloading songs, trust me it does not coast a penny.
