Sorry, in the middle of this it took me offline and I couldn't log on til now.
Anyway

It's about a group of dogs who escape from their abuser and search for a home far away from him. The dogs can talk and think a lot like people. It's evident early on that the two main characters (one male, one female) have a secret past. Somehow, they know how to survive in the woods. They never knew these two dogs as pups so a good fraction of their life is unknown to them. It is never clear out stated, but there are hints of the main characters liking each other. Of course, they don't know about eachothers' feelings. Coupling later in the series. Each chapter is from a different perspective (that's kind of unoriginal, but not everyone does it so I did it anyway;) Some chapters are in perspective of a group of wild dogs that you meet at the end of the first book (cliffhanger!!!) There is a strange connection between the main characters and them too. The book has 150-200 pgs (I know, it's short). Thanks
